My experience on /tv/ has been that many of you, maybe even most of you, don't actually like movies. You have an idea of what movies should be, and maybe watch them hoping you'll get something like that, but rarely if ever actually enjoy what you see. I remember discovering 50s sci-fi as a kid and thinking how great the goofy special effects and melodramatic acting were. I still enjoy the artifice of movies more than anything else about them, while I think the majority of fa/tv/irgins are frustrated by movies' general failure to inspire suspension of disbelief. Is the concept of the backrooms how you remember your memories? Like when you recall how your elementary school looked, then you dream about it, and then you try and map it out but something is not quite right. I watched "Taste the Blood of Dracula" (1969) today. Despite Dracula having drowned in 1966's "Dracula Prince of Darkness", he's alive again at the beginning of the film, if only to be impaled by a golden cross. Nobody's there who did it, just Dracula alone in the woods with a cross stuck in his chest. He then turns into red (bloody) ashes. But we know since the previous installment that Dracula can be brought back using his ashes and blood. This time it also requires a satanic ritual at Highgate Cemetery. The ending is a bit lame: Dracula dies from hearing the Lord's Prayer recited in Latin and turns into red ashes again.Overall a solid film, better than the ones before. The script didn't seem improvised, they shot at Elstree, so they had a proper backlot and good sets instead of using the same three rooms at Bray over and over again, the acting was decent, and this time Christopher Lee even had a few lines.
