The trailer was a dead giveaway that this film would suck. It's going to be two hours of lofty bullshit dialogue that says absolutely nothing. I watched it and it feels like so much is glossed over in a frenzied, unnecessarily action packed, laser focused goal of reaching the house scene, which also just ignores all kinds of questions in order to rush everyone to KCXE, which is the only part that actually seems to work. There are so many sequences that seem like they're missing an explanation. Things just happen, characters just pop up, and nothing really ties it all together.

Was Hugo (Colman Domingo) a magical negro? This was a really weird movie, probably the most bizarre thing I've seen coming out of Hollywood in a while.
