Troy is a totally overwrought 00s shit film that 20 years ago people mocked for being so ridiculously stylized at the cost of historical realism.But will Nolan equal it? No. Troy, for all of its flaws, is not a complete fucking joke and parody of casting/writing/presentation that Nolan's will be.Troy is not a good film but even saying that, a bad film from the 00s is infinitely better than any of Nolan's last few offerings. Hollywood has simply lost it, I fear, with the writer's cartel making everything a hodgepodge of 10 different authors and SAG restrictions inflating budgets. Only small scale films feel like they have any sort of 'vision' to them these days.
