Rumour has it Patrick Wilson is up for Xavier in the X-Men reboot, and Josh Hartnett is up for Mr. Sinister after missing out on Doom. Absolutely kino castings if true.

Xavier and Magneto are going to be black, this has been known for a while now. Not like it matters since Doomsday bombing means it won't get made

Zero chance they don’t make him a nigger.

Sinister is an genius genecinist who got his powers after being diddled by Apocalypse, and then kept growing more powerful. He's almost Thanos level.

They should stick with McAvoy and Fassbender.

The probably saw one still of the comic and thought he looked like him in one specific picture. That's how idiots thought Hunter Troon could be Zelda.

I am a black man that loves those actors but loves to see representation even more. Another place in the world of comic books where my people can shine after years of being cast aside? AMAZING! Let alone a comic book series modeled after the injustices recognized in the civil rights era. A series that would've only been published originally with as many WHITE faces as we have come to know today.

Magneto is a very rare case where being a white man IS intrinsic to who he is because he's not just white but jewish–A HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR.

So then I was like holy shit they can't do this (regarding the casting conversation) literally his conviction and drive in all interpretations comes from him surviving the Holocaust. His creation and who he is and his entire sense of self comes from the trauma and atrocities of that German era. What are they thinking trying to change that? 1945. The Holocaust ended in 1945. Let that sink in. 80 whole years have passed since

So what if they start in a different era? The later years of Jim Crow in America? 1965-1970 and even years after black people were still being wronged in unfathomable ways by the flawed system that cast them aside merely for how they looked. Bleric can still know the atrocities committed when the men in power see the "other" and relate to those mut*es even MORE when they look different and can't hide their mutations (a la Angel, Toad, Nightcrawler). Most of the grandparents of the present day are individuals who were alive during those shitty times in America. As late as 1985 there was an event in Philadelphia where a black advocacy group home in the middle of a black neighborhood was bombed after being shot at for hours. 11 deaths includong women and children. Racism in America has affected people in unfathomable ways and is much more tangible now than the far gone events of the Holocaust. Bleric's origin makes sense to carry on for the foreseeable future but let me know what you guys think?
