Good morning /hor/! Threadly reminder that I am owed reparations for A Streetcar Named Desire and I would like them in the form of Longlegs-esque and The-Empty-Man-esque (my two favorite kinos) kinos that align with/inform my Catholic, Christian, conservative, crypto-fascist worldview.I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you guys that horror only really works when it has a Catholic, Christian, conservative, crypto-fascist moral at its core. The entire genre of post-apocalyptic zombie thrillers, for example, ask the question of what happens when law, order, structures and institutions come down. They are inherently anti-revolutionary. A Quiet Place can be read as a critique of political correctness and one of the first victims gets cancelled by one of the monsters from space for praying out loud.Furthermore, as Jay Dyer points out in his Esoteric Hollywood, paraphrasing: the elites have the same sexual morals as the poor underclass. So, really, it has been my middle-class-to-upper-middle-class, Catholic/remnants-of-order-found-in-Protestantism social class that has restrained the baser instincts of man and kept this civilization running for a thousand+ years. You can all thank the Church and my social class for the fact that we all didn’t grow up in shanty towns with mud roads, running around with 20 other bastardos named Jayden, Hayden, Brayden, Grayden, Mayden, Rayden, and Layden.I’d also like the following actors/actresses to be turned into A-listers:>Jack Kesy>Ignacyo Matynia>Ryan Hurst>Caleb Landry Jones (I like this guy’s face)>Kristen Bell>Felicity Jones>Maika MonroeFinally, I’d like my guy, Zak Olkewicz, to get some good writing jobs.
New Street Trash was funny and charming, I liked it.The puppet was a mistake though

>>221379003I've had it on my list for a while. Sounds pretty good.
Just watched this movie. Hear me out. The whole thing is a critique of the smartphone generation living in unreality. The juxtaposition of time and the discrepancy in time (and the time the news aires), serves to show you how things used to work with phones and calling people and getting numbers, etc. The recorder with a recording on it is already “demonic” and gets you stuck/locked in. The commercial for the islands is this dream state that television, and smartphones, create. The senator works all day and doesn’t remember how many children he has. None of them remember how many kids they have. Careerism, all these pursuits (24hr. news cycle, conspiracies, etc.) and smartphones are making it so that children (the future) aren’t being born/raised. The caller who calls in represents cruel internet comments. People behaving like demons behind the anonymity of the internet. Marcato running a cult is a reference to Steve Jobs’ cult-like way of being. The professor/show producer is a warlock/demon too. Marcato wakes up the people in the studio when he calls his daughter, but the television watchers, who were told to go outside and touch grass, remain in black and white with their careers, news cycle and unreality. The corpos, in league with the politicians, did this to you. Thoughts?

>Spanish Shadow of the Vampire>The film is set in 1930 Hollywood, and follows as a Spanish actor is cast in the night shoot of a soon-to-be-legendary vampire film, forced to imitate the English-speaking star who performs the same role by day. The two actors regularly meet at the transitory hours of their shoots, and a rivalry stirs between them. I just finished rewatching Blair Witch (2016) for the first time in a while. I actually really like the time travel/time loop aspect, but it just flat-out fails as a Blair Witch Project sequel/reboot. It doesn't help that there are way too many cameras that switch back and forth constantly (who found each individual device with this footage?) and perhaps most egregiously, the fact that there are occasional music cues for gimmicky jump scares.
