Problem with S4 is it did nothing with the characters, nor did it create an interesting story. Taking the median required pay per bracket
-the showrunner is on $25K a week
-the other 2 writer-producers are each on $12K a week
-the 2 more junior writers are on a measly, pathetic 6K a week
That comes to $61,000 a week. And you're required to pay them for at least 20 weeks. So MGM is paying out absolute minimum $1.2 million per season for the writing room for this FUCKING GARBAGE. That doesn't include the per-episode scripts, rewrites and polishes. And this is just the technical minimum, it's not a realistically high number.

A problem I have is that season 1 had a much darker tone and felt like characters had more convictions.
Like this season Boyd was afraid of even attempting the bone plan because he didn't want to risk losing any people in the process. This is the same man who would sentence others to death by putting them in "the box" outdoors if they broke the rules.
