How do you guys feel about Rhaenyra and Alicent in the show? I'm hating how they're being portrayed because the writers are making them perpetual victims with no agency. Every action they take in the books is done in the show as some sort of betrayal of trust by a male advisor, a misunderstanding, or an accident. The main characters aren't allowed any control over the story, instead things are just happening "around them" and it just makes them come off as extremely naive and weak because their moral view of things are "deboonked" at every step of the way.In the books, these characters are supposed to fucking hate each other and want the other and her children dead. But the show wants them to make up and kiss so fucking bad that it's tearing the rest of the show apart.
