Every scene ends too early, because the writers don't know how to deal with the conflicts they're creating. Then later scenes have to pretend the conflicts never happened because otherwise pretending a resolution actually occurred would naturally require them to actually show the consequences of that resolution. Or, they just repeat the conflict without moving it a single inch in either direction. The whole show now is just characters that don't seem to exist at all when they aren't on the screen. They just pop in and out of existence with the camera, speak their lines and vanish again, then pick up exactly here they left off with nothing changed the next time they appear in a different time and place. It's such a fucking waste of time, and every change they've made from the source just paints them into corners they are too incompetent to write their way out of.
