what about hdr, do you enable it?
>>
>>221844948
Yes, but it'll tonemap if your display/tv doesn't have it enabled. Even if your display/tv can do HDR, it's usually best to disable it. Vast majority of displays can't push enough brightness so everything gets clipped. Really affects dark scenes and can make it so you can't see shit.

>>
>>221848284
Females/actresses over 30 just look old. Period. There are no girls over 30 that are objectively attractive.
ScarJo being casted as Poison Ivy is truly disgusting. No one wants to see a grandma playing a “sexy character.” She was revolting to see in the Jurassic Park movie. Her body and face was caved in and her youth was all good. Nasty.
>>
>>221848377

not enough examples. But the Gold ones (2013) are zombie-like and do tons of self mutilation. The director's cut actually adds a lot more lines to the deadites though. The silver ones in Rise seem to do more flippy/acrobatic shit and talk more/psychologically torture. In Rise, bridgette gets gold eyes and Danny gets white eyes like the original film. I'm kind of colorblind and didn't notice the eye color in Burn.

I've never been homeless, but I have had 2 DUIs, a totaled car, about 8 ER trips, and countless nights of blackout insanity which resulted in more than a few bridges burned.

After I hit around 34, I magically gained the ability to limit myself to 1 or 2 days of binging per month. I'm 42 now, and I haven't exceeded ~4 nights per month over the past 8 years.

What's made not being able to drink so difficult lately is the post-surgery depression and rather unpleasant physical recovery. I guess it's a good thing drinking is off limits because I probably would have been utterly wasted every day since my surgery.

Ringu: KINO
Spiral: Looks good but... man I just wasn't interested

Sadako 3D: Just like the 3D western films, stupid and but endearingly over the top.

I can see why they suggested Outlander since it's technically a monster movie.

Out of the ones on the IMDB list that are actually medieval or thereabouts, I can more or less vouch for:

Black Death
Cry Of The Banshee
Dracula Untold
Gretel And Hansel
The Long Hair Of Death
The Masque Of The Red Death
The Pit And The Pendulum (1961)
The Pit And The Pendulum (1991)

YMMV.
Snow White: A Tale Of Terror is good though it leans more toward dark fantasy.
The Raven's the right time period but it's an only vaguely spooky comedy.

Lot of the others on there I havn't seen and a bunch I never even heard of.
Out of those, Head Hunter is supposed to be good

Similar in what way? The monster? The setting? General vibe?
Dr Terror's House of Horrors is an Amicus anthology where the wraparound takes place on a train (the "house" is a house of cards) and Cushing plays the "storyteller" character.
>>
>>221858076
Argento seems like he's a bit off, but that might be what you need to be a true horror legend.

Yeah wouldn't be completely shocked if Dario caused Asia's craziness somehow.
On a related note, Stendhal Syndrome is underrated. Some great surreal Argento moments in that one. The opening museum sequence might be one of his best desu.

I remember diving around Asia's media during the Bourdain drama. Found it heartbreaking she was always talking about her dad but never her mom. Also: I've listened to a bunch of Dario related podcasts/youtube episodes over the years and even read Alexandra Heller-Nicholas' book on Suspiria. And everyone treats it like a fact that Daria Nicolodi wrote Suspiria on her own. There's no confirmation other than Niccolodi's word late in life but thought that was interesting. It reminds me of that saying that behind every great man there's a great woman
>>
>>221865521
Hammers The Abominable Snowman has similar ancient, missing link style creatures and stars Peter Cushing. It's much slower paced than Horror Express though.
The Creeping Flesh also has a similar setup of some ancient evil remains returning to life and also stars Cushing and Lee. It's a bit overstuffed with sub-plots but it's still a decent watch.

Backrooms had 2 scenes I liked
>first one when he gets there
>2nd one when they go with camera
I didnt really care about the therapist character or their conversation at the table, i guess escape scene was neat too

I dont know anything about this franchise outside of this movie and the short film but it didnt really have enough of the backrooms themselves for me, I wish it was like 60 solid minutes at least of just people wandering around.
If i was making this movie I would've just had 4 main character wandering in there for majority of the movie while general drama happens - like blair witch project inside of wacky impossible space.
Maybe I should get into the whole zoomer universe made about them because the visuals were super neat IMO walking around insane rooms that connect in ways that fuck with your head is fun.
