>>221928402Would and then just let her kill herself so I can be free. Win-Win in my book.
103 days til Halloween
>>221928482*waits patiently*
>>221928453Interesting point. Haven't thought about it before. Technically, if she loves you "more than anyone in the world" then you could order her to kill herself to prove her love to you.
hello~
>>221928527You can also get her to kill people you don't like by simply spending time with them away from her. I see no downsides.
I have a confession: I don't think the Ghostbusters franchise is as great as people make it out to be. The original is a good comedy, but I don't find it to be some great movie. There's plenty of other 80s comedies that are better. The rest of the franchise ranges from ok to shit.
>>221928688You had to be there
>>221928688you have to be mentally disabled to think that any of the movies after the first one was well received
>>221928402What're your favorite zombie and zombie-like movies, /hor/?I like The Night Eats The World, The Crazies, and Quarantine. Special mention Shaun of the Dead and Resident Evil: Apocalypse, one for the laffs and the other because it actually shows a city falling to zombies instead of just throwing us into it after everything's already done.
>>221928453>>221928527she wouldn't do anything you say because her shit's all retarded. If you told her to kill herself she'd poop on the wall backwards and kill some random guy in the street because the only logic behind any of it is -just don't think about it-.
>>221928728Weird that excuse is never used when someone likes something. You'll never say "I had to be there" for liking Caddyshack, Clue, or any number of 80s horror movies. Your argument is flawed from the start and therefore invalid. Try again.
>>221928402she was so annoying though Christian would have died anyway so she redeemed herself
>>221928748i think 28 days later and some parts of 28 weeks later are peak zombie kino. Train to busan is good of course. Not exactly zombies but the sadness is great, similar to the crazies but better imo, based off of crossed. I do also have a soft spot for the snyder dawn of the dead.
>>221928784You don't have to tell her to kill herself, she'll eventually do it on her own. She was already hitting herself in the head and was going to shoot herself in the face. You just need to withhold attention and wait. There's also the fact the real Nikki would show up and freak out. She'd eventually show up and kill herself to escape.
>>221928748Night / Dawn / DayBurial GroundLet Sleeping Dogs Lie
>>221928804You're talking about something that was culturally relevant in a particular time and place, being enough of a hit at one point to define a generation. It happened at the right time. You watched it at a different time. You might as well be asking why Roy Rogers or the Lone Ranger are such a big deal.
This is one of the funniest scenes of all time.
>>221928937Again, you'd NEVER use that argument if I said I loved Ghostbusters. Even weirder since I already said I think it's a good comedy, which means I like it. You're going on assuming I hated it for some reason. Unless you'd use the same argument for movies I love that came out before I was born, your entire argument is invalid.
>>221928965I can imagine all the guffawing in the theater when this happened
>>221928965a lot of obsession is really funny. Her banging on the door at the end like a demon with bear in the bathroom and then just sweetly saying "okay thank you!" in reply to bear made me giggle.

>>221928995That argument wouldn't apply the other way. I explained, historically, why it's a well remembered movie.
>>221929096The fucking hell is that last film, a combo of A24 and Troma?
>>221929159Either I "had to be there" or I didn't. You can't have it both ways. If I love it and didn't "had to be there" then your argument is invalid. Pick one, did I have to be there or not? Again, you're still acting like I hated the movie. You're either purposely omitting certain things or just read at a 1st grade level.

Got around to seeing Evil Dead Burn, easily the worst Evil Dead movie. I thought it would be about on par with Rise but this was way worse. It was sort of giving direct-to-video Hellraiser movie vibes in terms of quality. I hope Wrath is better but this was a fucking dud.
>>221929395I hear you with bill murray, guy gives heavy sarcastic urbanite vibesDan's a national treasure though
>>221929564I found it really weird that it tried to be an indirect sequel to Rise and also try to set up a direct sequel to it even tho the next one is an unrelated prequel movie. Was Rise even that well received or remembered? I thought the consensus was it was fine but then everyone sorta forgot about it.
>>221929564It was ok. These new Evil Dead movies just feel way more by the books instead of having much that makes them stand out.
>>221929366>still acting like I don't like the movie when I've stated multiple times that I do like itThanks for admitting you're either purposely omitting what I said or just a massive retard. >>221929682>These new Evil Dead movies just feel way more by the booksI think that's the biggest issue and where the direct-to-video sequel vibes come from. They lack the personality of the original films.

Just finished. This is exactly what I was looking for all those late nights as a twelve year old surfing Skinemax: a college nerd accidentally summons a hot sex demon that wants to fuck everyone it sees and makes other people horny by being around them. The demon is a sexy hair metal milf and she does get her tits out, but the movie is so LAME. It kinda feels like if you asked a twelve year old to write a sex comedy, everything's just point A to B with no personality or laughs or sexiness. There's an awful band that does the same song in full twice, the second time to a montage of everytime the demon took her top off.

Just put on Killing Grounds
I don't like horror movies. There are few exceptions like Obsession but in truth, it's rare. I truly believe horror works better as a subgenre completing another genre. Alien is good because it's great scifi complimented by horror. Evil Dead is comedy with horror. You can go even further and do something where only one character or sequence is horror and everything else has none. I don't know if I'm crazy but I don't like pure horror as much.
>>221928402The implication in the movie is that Nikki was always like this. All the wish did was have her love him more than anything else. Presumably, this is genuinely how she expresses love, only her obsession switched from something private to a publicly known relationship with another person, which made it obvious that she was actually a freak. "Freaky Nikki"
>>221938574>>221938609It is not that deep. Obsession is a simple movie.

>>221928735Ghostbusters 2 is hated by "film people" but liked by general audiences.
>>221941416>molestedDid you cum?
>>221945588>should I watch Obsession? Yes>Is it scaryYes, but it's also funny
>>221946578>It occurs to me I've never actually seen an Uwe Boll filmWatched Rampage, it's unironically good and very /hor/-adjacent. Was a popular movie here a couple years ago.
wtf, why was this so good?I wasn't paying attention to it when it came out but I retroactively feel bad for the marketing people. Imagine trying to convince people this wasn't slop and actually being right.
>>221948584I think everyone involved had something to prove. it's a lightning in a bottle movie, I was expecting nothing and got everything
>>221928402Wow I love watching puke bro it's so scary I jumped out of my ass right there in the kinoplex
I'm gonna watch all the capeshithorror Venom movies! I used to love Carnage as a kid because I was edgy like that.>>221948584Yeah it's really great. Carried a lot by the fact that main actress girl was awesome and doing her best mentally broken popstar impression.
>>221948584Below average movie, just like the 1st. They clearly aren't made for me.
>>221947138>Also more psychological drama than horrorThat's all mainstream horror movies coming out today lol. I wish we had the 80s trashiness instead.
Bleh
>>221948891>he thinks puke is "way too much"get outta here
>>221948067>should've been Bryce Dallas HowardAgreed but they're both red-hot.
>>221949149Yes, we had a discussion about that earlier in this thread. I don't like it in movies. When you've got 90 minutes or 2 hours, you should film a straight, scary story without all the psychological ballast. When you shoot a miniseries like "Den som draeber" was, then your story is more drawn-out, you probably can't prevent having some drama in it to keep the viewer tuning into the following episode next week.
>>221928862The opening of 28 Weeks would make for a 10/10 horror short film on YouTube.>>221928402Watched it last night and fucking loved it.>>221928688Agreed. GB1 is great, GB2 is ok, the rest are pure shit.>>221928748If you like The Crazies, I beg thee to watch The Sadness with all haste. It's fucking awesome and gruesome.
>>221945588>>221945693>>221938574You don't need to be actively watching horror movies to want a place to discuss horror movies. I watch very few of them outside of October but I always like to talk about the ones I've seen here

low budget scifi horror is my new cocaine
>>221950425Hell yeah
>>221950201Ew.
>>221950201Looks like a gross wife
>>221947138>>221949149It sounds like what you two associate horror with is purely fight-or-flight type of scares that give you sweaty palms and dry mouth but horror has always been broadly about more than that. It's honestly a very simplistic way to look at a genre that you don't seem to understand as well as you think you do. Just think about how many different types of phobias there are but very few of them are actually dangerous to humans. Fight-or-flight is certainly the most potent way to scare you but pretending it's the only valid form of horror is more a matter of personal taste despite what you may tell yourself. You might as well just go bungie jumping or sky diving if adrenaline is all you care about.>>221949431Also FYI that TV show is not categorized as horror anywhere that matters so that's on you for bringing it up in the horror general.
>>221939279That's a lot of words to say Cloverfield.

>>221948584It's not good, it's just fun to see a pretty actress be totally unhinged
Good afternoon /hor/! I wanted to notify you guys that I took my dog to the park today. We walked around the whole park. She pooped. Then we sat on the bench and I threw her a ball to fetch. She also drank water. Very pleasant time. 10/10. Would recommend.

>>221952447>
>>221952420It's a very competently made film with a phenomenal performance from its main lead with good pacing and a good script. Objectively speaking it is in fact a good movie just like the original.
>>221952627It's a dumb idea shot like every other dumb movie
>>221952447Men with dogs give me the ick.

>>221954522>removes the Catholic parts to not offend the christcucksWhat a bunch of pussies. I still liked it, but [REC] is better.
>>221954570Catholics aren't Christians btw.
>>221954522There should be a black version that takes place at a section 8 apartment building. Every single person there would have guns and would kill the infected immediately, then the cops/riot/feds would still kill all the blacks.
>>221954596They believe in the Christian bible, god, jesus, etc. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they aren't Christians. Let me guess, certain denominations aren't Christians either just because you don't like them too.
In a world where there's no cure for either, would you rather have AIDS or live as a deformed mutant?
>>221954713>They believe in the Christian bible, god, jesusSo do muslims and mormons. Has nothing to do with not liking them and everything to do with them not adhering to one of the core non-negotiable tenets of the religion, namely sola fide.
>>221954917Mutant, just so everyone doesn't think I'm gay
>>221954921Where in the bible does it say that's a core non-negotiable tenet? I mean, the bible also says that if your child is disrespectful and being a little shit, you should have him stoned to death.
>>221951114Would the climax of The Exorcist be better if it involved a scene where Reagan and her mother confronted her trauma about being a molested, fatherless girl daughter? Would the film be better if she constantly brought it up while getting possessed or the demon did?
>>221954036>Terrier mix. Jack Russell mostly.Horror show dog.Lived next to one forever and I was so happy when she died.I'm not even trying to the edgy, that dog was just a bad dog. I hope yours is better.
