I watched Blumhouse's 2020 version of "The Craft" since it was being talked about here yesterday. Oh man. It was very 2020, with the feelings and being gay and wearing a rubber band around the wrist and group therapy and everything. There were no repercussions for meddling in black magic like in the original movie, hexing people was A-OK. The witches were also not good-looking like in the original movie. The main girl was OK, but apparently she was the only actress of the four, the others were cast because they were IRL new age "witches". As for Mike Stoklasa's trivia question "which actress reprised her role in the 2020 version of The Craft?" - Fairuza Balk was in it for about two seconds at the very end before the picture cut to black and the credits rolled.Anyway, 3/10 for a technically well made movie, but there wasn't really a coherent story and it wasn't really horror - it was new age meets high school drama with candles and crystals.
