They were an absolute mess before and even somehow worse than K-drama's. I couldn't stand Zhao Luisi for the longest time because she was always that type of character you're describing in "Make a wish" in her shows. Check out "Mr Ling" where she shits on the ML basically any time the SML attacks him or when he dares defends himself against the SML. It's rage inducing childish shit. Also her other show "Dating in the kitchen" where she keeps hanging out with the SML even though she's told by multiple people not to and even lies to the ML on the phone about being alone in her apartment while the SML is sitting right next to her. It's nonsensical immature writing that completely character assassinates her character every time. Ruined a up to that point, a great show. She redeemed herself with a couple of good roles in a row with "Who rules the world" and "Hidden Love" though. Kdrama writing tends to be more realistic with their triangles. C-drama triangles a while back though were severely childish, bizarre and nonsensical. Not realistic by any measure which somehow pisses me off more than a Korean show has ever done. Thank god for "Hidden Love" and "When I fly towards you" for saving romance C-drama's.
