I don’t get why the Dexter finale went over so badly. I would get it if it was an A+ show that gave a shit ending but it was already pretty off the rails for like 3 years before Dexter ended. Him running off doesn’t seem that bad to me. Did anyone actually want to see him get killed? It’s not like killing the antihero is a novel idea that would surprise everyone. Did reviewers feel like they needed to pretend the fun part of the show wasn’t watching him troll all the cops who tried to catch him and get away with serial killing?I get there’s some bullshit but people still call it like one of the worst tv episodes of all time.

I thought it was good. It was even foreshadowed. Him being stuck in some stupid job he hated with no inner monologue. It was like he went to a self imposed hell and punished himself.
