The new Stephen King book is out today, for anyone interested.Third installment in the Talisman trilogy.
>>223624290I have it, but not on hand. Guess I can grab it again real fast.
>>223624602Nta, but I started uploading it to pixeldrain. If you're going to gofile it I can cancel mine.
>watching R L Stine's Pumpkinhead since people seem to have received it well>90s fashion>old cars>no smartphonesoh, so this takes place in the 90s gotcha>"Mm-mmm. You know Uber Eats doesn't even come out this far?"wtf
>>223624324How the fuck did this movie flop, I guess zoomer audiences don't like pussy lips and mass shootings.Extremely solid year for aesthetic appreciators though.
>>223624634I'm uploading it up on gofile. Shouldn't take long.
>>223624212So, after reading all the praise yesterday, I've decided to watch Angst. Overall I did like it, but not as much as others apparently. The gritty realism and the camera work were great. Together with the inner monologue they create an impression as if you're almost watching a clinical documentary on psychopathy. At the same time, for a movie with a run time of only 1:20, it felt longer. Parts of the film felt like it was just filler. The climax of the movie, hiding in the villa and the killings were too short. Especially since the real life guy tortured them for hours. The killings, especially of the cripple and the mother were too comical for this type of movie. Also, while the inner monologue works, at times it also gave way too much unnecessary exposition.
>>223624669Ok

WMBF Kino
>>223625158I have seen the movie. Valerie herself is still very much a child. She plays with dolls, she is a kid, she's like flowers and swimming. She isn't a whore, she isn't trying to fuck men, she doesn't even understand sex when she sees people having it. It's other characters that attempt to exploit her (the priest, her grandmother) and this becomes a coming of age story for her. But at no point is she a sexual character. It's just a kid, that's why she blows raspberries when burned at the stake.
>>223625296So now you're backtracking from when you said she was 18 years old and nobody tries to fuck her.
>>223625316that guy isn't me
>>223625296i don't believe the priest is trying to exploit her, he just had one too many and thought he broke his vow of celibacy so he was just shifting the blame
>>223625327And you're replying to me as though I said it's a sex adventure and not (what I actually said) which is that it's a based and redpilled adventure that teaches young girls to avoid men and also women because both want to abuse and exploit them for various reasons

The Luc Besson plagiarization of Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula is better than I thought it would be, because of the actors. It was also a little too silly and Hogwartsian in places, like the perfume and the gargoyles. But the performances make it worth watching

Why is it always a theme in Korean media that rich/powerful people are comically evil in day to day interactions
>>223627377because it's true to life?
>>223627377>majority of koreans aren't wealthy>shows cater to the majority>rich end up portrayed as villainsFunny enough, when it comes to romcoms, the not-rich person always ends up with a rich person because poor people want to be rich. China had to put a stop to that though because women in China became too delusional when it came to relationships.

>>223626512yeah it was good. the dude who played dracula did a great job
>>223627685Yes, it is ass but has some nice things about it.
>>223626512I quite like it, right up until the end where it's somehow managed to make soldiers invading a castle seem like a bore. The scenes just went on and on, devoid of much interesting violence.
>>223627634I've been wanting to properly watch that for a while now, but I'm waiting until I've moved house so I can have my mind clear for a maximally comfy experience. Only ever watched episodes here and there when I was younger because a girl at my school liked it, but even back then I thought that it's actually kino.
>>223624543I'll get around to the Talisman trilogy, eventually. Currently in terms of King kino, Last month I listened to the audiobooks of Cycle of the Werewolf and Pet Sematary and I'm physically reading Salem's Lot and You Like It Darker.
>>223627956I haven't started the third one yet but the second one, Black House, is way better than the Talisman

>>223628061Follow it up with Pet Sematary if you want to feel sad for the next 5 years.

I felt genuinely spooked both times Jud talked about the dead coming back wrong. Surprised it never got a Doctor Sleep-esque follow-up considering how much of a raw deal Ellie got and the ambiguity of her psychic premonitions, not that the story ever needed one. >>223628132>Revival is also greatAlso heard strong positive opinions on that one. Okay, had a late a start to my horror marathon so I'll need a few double features to reach 31 movies. What I've watched so far (all new to me, no rewatches this month)>Videodrome Definitely my favorite Cronenberg that I've seen. The practical effects are incredible, the plot is unique and trippy, and the ending gave me chills.>Altered States Very bizarre movie, but I expected that after seeing Lair Of The White Worm. Actually had a very sweet message about finding love in a world with no meaning. Really disturbing and trippy. The monkey man stuff could have been shorter, it was too ridiculous in a movie that takes itself so seriously. >The Woman In Black (1989)Am I crazy if this is my favorite of the 3 so far? One of the best ghost stories I've ever seen. One jumpscare made me flinch and throw my whole body backwards. Just really spooky and eerie overall. All 3 of these movies have had excellent leading men, and all are from the 1980s, so naturally it's time to pivot to a movie with a leading woman from the 2000s: The Skeleton Key I already know how this movie ends but that makes me want to watch it more lol, the ending sounds kino.I'll also watch another movie tonight, not sure what yet.
Spoopy Moobies hell ye
>>223624804>>223624853It's really all SNL knows what to do with Dakota, but they do it very well.>>223627634First couple seasons are very comfy indeed.>>223628419Anon, there an episode called 'Halloween', season 2, episode 6. It's good for an itch on the early seasons.>>223628298>banned films- horror comediesBut anon, that's Kathryn Newton's bread and butter. I need to find my Lisa Frankenstein.

>>223628660She was a cutie but from what i hear the actress was abused then retired young. She did come back to provide major voice work on The Living Dead audio book tho

I just finished watching Waxwork which I thought was fun but just okay. Last night I watched Night of the Creeps and Fright Night both of which I really enjoyed! What should I watch next?
>>223630481nice, yeah Night of the Creeps is great. If you want one that's not only similarly named, but similarly good and comfy, then Night of the Comet.
>>223630481>Night of the CreepsIs that the one with the asshole little kid?
Speaking of witches. I love Season of The Witch and always will. This is for other fans of the filmhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YoTg6CDlug

Onslaught already looks shitty and try hard and woke.
>>223630696no it doesn't
>>223630572same. the witchcraft in the computer age quite is a nice pickup.the surrealism you noted is a bit like Phantasm. I love films that manage to be surreal because of their strange world rather than purely disintegrating into arthouse.
>>223630703Cope. It does. Even the trailer was very girlbossish.
>>223630648I've read The Amityville Horror by Jay Anson and the writing sucked ass.
>>223630714>even the traileryou mean your only experience with the movie because you aren't watching it and never will and in 5 days you'll add it to your jeet list of "banned" movies
Is this a good Halloween movie? I like Gillian Anderson.

>>223630804I had to look up what you meant, and I'm pretty sure I remember that guy from some video where he reviewed a sex doll, or made his girlfriend fuck it or something insane
>>223630690>got in trouble for it in catholic schooldid you tell them William Peter Blatty is a devout Catholic just like Nikos Kazantzakis?

>>223630248>season 2, episode 6.preciate ya pal
>>223630900just like how Valerie is about an 18 year old and is't sexual at all
>>223630900Onslaught was if anything an extremely right wing film.
>>223630925The spectrum has shifted so far left, even far right is left leaning. If you’re an actual leftist, you’re literally a mtf
