>>223745128Fuck yeah, Grave Encounters! That movie holds a special place in my heart
>>223745140*sparks up a J*Tell us your story, Anon
They should release a V/H/S Halloween every year with new halloween related parts.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74nxtmSzQg8
>>223745179I agree, I think they'd be better at that than they were with Mixtape
>>223745195Didnt watch mixtape yet. Any kino segments?
>>223745179hmmm, you're not wrong. they could at least test the waters with VHS Halloween II
P.good telling of the classic stories, could do without the progressive undertones.
>>223745204>Any kino segments?Without spoiling anything, the last segment is an entertaining rip-off of a cult film, and there's a quick stop-motion animation segment that's also interesting. The rest, not so good.
>>223745140Back in high school I had a group of buddies that would meet up Halloween weekends to watch a yearly horror movie marathon, we’d all show up with direct choices and everybody would take turns putting on different movies. All-nighters with the boys, good times. I put on Grave Encounters one year and everybody loved it. The scene where they finally unlock the front door and it just opens into another wing of the hospital is pure kino
>>223745128Back then, jump scares were fair.
>>223745206Yeah, then they could do VHS Halloween 3: seasons of the witch and drop the idea of a yearly anthology film and milk the story from the first 2 until the end of time
>>223745140One of the first horror movie my friend and I watched. The moment everyone realized that daylight wasn't coming really fucked us all up.
>>223745204sadly it sucked even more than usual
>>223745233that movie just had a really dark, hopeless vibe. you just knew there wasn’t going to be a happy ending.
>>223745224Kek meant for >>223745161>>223745233For a shitty found footage they really nailed the concept immaculately. The asylum distorting space and time so aggressively was very compelling, I loved when the windows and doors start to disappear
>>223745128>soýjaking ghostsCan't take it seriously anymore
>>223745233When the guy said they would be locked in for 8 hours, I thought "8? That's pussy shit"And then>it should be bright out right now...
>>223745252goes to show that a well made film doesn't need to be unique to stand out. it's the most straight down the middle idea, everything in it has been done before, but it's just solid.
Thoughts on the Shivering Truth series?
>>223745128Did not know this was a Canadian movie.>>223745233Fucked me up for LIFE.There's basically no way to watch another movie with this concept without thinking about the timelock aspect of this movie.
>>223745215>>223745234thx
>>223745128Horror is a woman’s genre and was never and will never be good. Horror movies are boring and predictable.
>>223745317If we’re shouting out excellent Canadian horror films, gotta shoutout my true love The Void. I’ve seen this joint scores of times, it’s great if you like cosmic horror and practical effects
While we're on it, is Grave Encounters 2 worth watching?
>>223745353Get a load of king faggot over here
>>223745317Unexplained phenomena is my top creep. Time warps, people disappearing into nothing, walking and coming back to the same place etc.
>>223745364I’d say so. Its not as good as the first but it has a couple of cool sequences, and the vibe is the same
>>223745373Not mad. I just look at horror movies the same way I look at capeslop.
>a mentally ill young man has climbed into the big cat enclosure
>>223745317>>223745382You anons seen The Endless? It’s not a very scary movie but it has some fun space/time distortion stuff
>>223745400Then you’re tasteless and boorish, horror as a genre has way more going on in terms of novelty.
>>223745422You have to be joking right? Maybe you’re just not old enough but there is nothing novel about horror. It’s easy to pick up on the tropes and they are all frankly boring.
>13 days wasted awayChrist... well that leaves 18 left, Anon. I hope you have them well planned. You know it'd kill your mother if she found out you went through another October with nothing to show for it. Ahh, but you wouldn't do that. You love your mother, don't you Anon?
>>223745422anon you shouldn't post a bait picture while taking the bait
>>223745410Yeah I enjoyed it
>>223745206I wish
>>223745382This'll spook ya good
>>223745179I heard some rumblings that VHS is doing an SCP movie? Any anons know anything about that?
>>223745576Yeah. The jist of it is that VHS is doing an SCP movie
>>223745433ok I am upping the spook. I have hooked up a makeshift pumpkin lamp for ambient orange.
>>223740418The Spiral Staircase is what most giallos wish they were
>>223745589Thanks anon
>>223745609Based
>>223745535Alright, it's going on the list
What's next on the watchlist, Anons?
>>223745709I haven't seen Buddy yet, so that'll be it
>>223745709Trying to decide between Microwave Massacre or a more recent one I found on Tubi that looks promising, it’s called Ick
>>223745725Buddy's good. I saw it at the theater a few weeks back and wanted to watch it a second time but didn't get around to it. Post what you think about it after you've seen it
>>223745128I’ve got to do some shilling for one of my favorite movies. Go watch Blood Diner on Tubi or you’re dead meat!https://youtu.be/P_7DN4YhsZU?is=HWIjRJ8OTpTO2r5m
>>223745764It'll be a job for tomorrow
watched hokum
>>223745830Hokum was kino.
>>223745830did you kum in that ho?
>>223745306More comedy than horror. Like his other stuff there is comedy gold and stuff that does nothing for me.
>>223745847yep
>>223745128>Jason Lives>annoying smart mouthing bitch survived>Jason New Blood>psychic girl is kino>Jason Takes Manhattan>kino chasing from the middle of the ocean to new york city>Jason Goes to Hell>jason constantly changing form is annoying, we want tall buff jason with hockey mask, not some jason with different forms

>>223745252posters like u need to die in a fire
>>223746041Lay off the drugs man. There's no reason to be hostile in threads for no reason. You're anti-comfy and I'd prefer you die instead of ruining my vibe.Just say no.
>>223744637>How is Shivering Truth? I watched both seasons back when they came out and loved it. It's a bit /wacky/ at times but that shouldn't be shocking if you're aware Vernon Chatman made it. I'm still bummed he never made a third season.>>223741272>I can't believe I never noticed the crazy noise score is BY TOBE. That takes the movie up to an 11/10, the music from this is super influential, and for the director to be responsible is incredibly uncommon.I thought the same exact thing when I saw he co-scored it at the end. I never realized the music was *that* good in TCM, especially in the opening. Made me finally realize why Hooper's so highly regarded, like with Raimi after watching The Evil Dead.
>>223745128any cool horror movies that are on yt?
>>223746061i am able to discern giddiness which is reddit overload which u clearly showed in your faggot post. fuck u faggot
>>223746041>>223746057
Is there anything worth watching in this, or is it all just endless sequel slop for late millennials/early zoomers?

>>223746071Abruptio.
>>223746137based edgybro
>>223746099I actually watched it recently, thanks to you anon.
>>223746137Nah I’m just gonna keep posting about horror I like, give it a shot too
Finally got around to watching There's Nothing Out There (1991). I think a lot of you would appreciate it, especially if you're into a lot of '80's slashers with partying teens. It pokes fun at all of the tropes, without ever really turning into a straight parody (save for one moment towards the end that made me chuckle). Also plenty of T&A if you're into that sorta thing.
>>223745128God Dammit Anon. Why did you use such a spooky jpeg?I'm spooked now. I am spooked. wtf anon.>Tonight I watched Mandy it was pretty good >I am going to fall asleep watching The Last Slumber Party idky but that movie is so comfy and retarded I love falling asleep to it.
>>223746512Also downloading Color out of Space I need more Cage Kino with ridiculous purple lighting... I might even stoop low enough to watch that retarded movie where he beats up FNAF animatronics and drinks beer.
>>223746323downloading nowty frenthe little monsters remind me of rock n roll nightmare but this looks a lot more competent
>>223746512I feel like if you showed someone from 1991 Mandy their head would explode at how incredible it was
>>223746573you'll like willy's wonderland.
>>223746640lol retard
I've loved David S. Pumpkins from the beginning and I always will.
>Shiver (Aug. 13)>Tim Miller’s sci-fi action thriller starring Keanu Reeves as a smuggler caught in a time loop where he is attacked by sharks.lmao, what?
Speaking of The Color out of Space, last night I watched the 1965 adaption Die, Monster, Die! Which was mildly entertaining if only for the bizarrely nonplussed protagonist.>>223746573>where he beats up FNAF animatronics and drinks beer. This film was great.
>>223746743oh lord I hated it. Chuck E. Cheese horror is tailor made for my tastes but no one's done a good job with it yet.
>>223745382You might enjoy Exit 8. It's a bit similar to the Backrooms or PT, a man trying to escape incomprehensible geometry. I thought it was interesting but one thing that did bother me was how dumb some characters acted in parts.
>>223745807Great movie.
man witches are scary, amiright?
>>223746761as far as "incomprehensible geometry", I think that Demian Rugna dude is the only one doing creative stuff
>>223746809>AHHHH NOOOO DON'T S-

>>223746888lived in america at a young age, and at preschool they had sloppy joes for lunch. found them weird at the time, my family used to joke about them. left the country a while later, sort of missed them ever since.also miss kmart cafe cookies, corndogs, a tall yoghurt which had fruit in the bottom, blueberry muffins, pumpkin pie and some other stuff.been a long time
is Ready Or Not a good booby-I mean movie?
>>223747103I desperately wish she had made a movie WHILE pregnant
>>223747103no, sadly. it's one of the worst movies i've ever seen even though samara weaving is so hot. the main character does nothing cool at all despite using tough bride imagery.
>>223747141I find pregnancy to be pretty grotesque but it is crazy how much her boobs grew
>>223747103>>223747309its not a bad movie its just far from a good movie. completely soulless though.
>>223745893Jason x, also kino. Who the hell doesnt love they ass that mf uber jason, nigga?

Whalefall AND Street Fighter are out tomorrow and I really want to see both. Which one do I go to? (Whalefall is /hor/.)
>>223747605The Devils is getting a 1 week theatrical directors cut release starting Friday, and i plan on seeing it with my mother-in-law this weekend
>>223747663you two, y'know, *click click* (makes double finger guns) GOING together?
how is the new VHS film lads?
>>223747663you would be a terrible suicide hotline operator.>>223747683most of the directors are black. this answers your question.
>>223747690>you would be a terrible suicide hotline operatorWhat does this even mean
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuJT1WkQj_UThe director of the film posted (what appears to be) a camrip version of Buddy in it's entirety.
>>223747605I'm a little surprised Whalefall is PG-13. Not a dealbreaker, but I assumed an R rating, if for language if nothing else.
>>223747690is the real horror racism the whole time?
>>223747706whispering voice:he's a bad listener
>>223745357One of my favorite horror movies of all time. Wish Kostanski would go back to true horror instead of his comedy/horror.
