>>223836327Only Philosopher stone and Chamber of secrets were directed by Columbus and use the classic Spielberg family movie style (you know, exaggerated theatrical acting and art design, lighting and lenses that highlights mood, tone and emotion and so on. The kind of thing that was normal on movies like Jumanji, Hook, second hand lions, Labyrinth and the like)The third movie is more grounded, the magical sense of wonder is toned down in favor of more realistic, more mundane... everything. Movie 4 is less grounded but it´s not a return to form. It´s just generic action/adventure. In fact no movie ever goes back to the child friendly/ family aesthetic. Order of the phoenix kind of worked but that´s mostly because the book was so terrible. I mean, Harry is such a little bitch on that one. Movie 6, was one of the darkest books, if not the darkest, so naturally they made a romantic comedy with it and movie 7 is "we want the twilight audience". You kind of have to understand book 6 is mostly about Voldemort´s and Snape pasts while book 7 is about Dumbledore´s past but it seems it was decided as early as movie 3 that the movies would focus on Harry´s group and just wouldn´t cover that kind of stuff so, the way i see it, the last books were never actually adapted. I guess you could see the lack of consistency in cinematographic style as a choice though. Something on the lines of the cinematography reflecting Harry´s growth or something like that.

>>223836834It's flat out retarded is what it is. They could make a series covering all the books down to the last detail and it would still be cheap as fuck. Combine it with some proper merch and it could make billions.

>>223836480No!Furthermore, Slytherin will now go to the dungeons.
>>223836897
>>223836353I feel like the story is so cluttered too. Each of the old ones had a distinct plot and tone. Later ones bleed together and are forgettable.
>>223836897This Malfoid is so cute
>>223836916Yeah, the books are like that as well. Once Voldi comes back it all turns angsty and edgy and I keep forgetting in what books people actually die and what even happens.
>>223836670>so much hot and cute spampretty is so underrated
>>223836854>it would still be cheap as fuck. you clearly don't understand how this business work if you think this is true.adapting the whole story would cost A LOT more than just using the setting for some little kid show.>Combine it with some proper merch and it could make billions.so the same merch that already existed because of the movies... new story/characters = new merch..
>>223836952It would be cheap as fuck compared to the movies or live action series. They can just make memorable new designs for the animated series and use the merch sales from that to fund more shit. Hell, anime itself is basically just a series of ads so people buy the webnovels/manga and figurines.
>>223836674*dogshit opinion incoming*As a movie secondary I'm kinda glad they didn't leave harrys side. These are 2 hour movies and focusing on side characters, I don't think I would've really liked those two outside of how they were already presented.
>>223836702there is https://files.catbox dot moe/l6wkwh.mp4
>>223836982cartoons are pretty fucking expensive actually. theres a reason why so many cartoons both old and new suffer from shitty animation and its because its actually not cheap at all. im reminded of how the he-man cartoon came to be, it cost the same to make either one movie or one (VERY cheaply animated) season.now, hp made more than enough from the books alone to commission a mid level 2000s cartoon AT LEAST. we shouldve had multiple harry potter cartoons by now
>>223836702Malfoid is already implicitly that. No need to draw it. Lord Voldemort is already literally Hitler. Orphaned, sensitive autistic kid with no desire for friends but has great ambition. Great student, intensely curious. Asks bold questions that shock the adults. Questions authorities. Hates the decay of vitality and wants to restore order. Becomes a leader for others due to his power and capability. The Wizard World is dying, and Voldemort wants to seek out those who are killing it. Others slander him as a psychopath "incapable of love" because he's not like them. Autism was originally known as "Autistic Psychopathy" and that is how the world still sees Voldemort and Hitler. Magic abilities work exactly like genes in Rowling's work. Powerful wizards create heirs with innate powerful abilites. Sometimes a person from poor background i.e Muggles produce extraordinary individuals, but usualyl not. The genetic basis for magic can't be denied. Powerful bloodlines must be supported to bond with fellow bloodlines, or else the small wizard community will perish. It's not "inbreeding". Muggleborn wizards are fine so long they respect the purebloods. Unfortunately muggleborns have dual loyalty and want to degenerate the wizarding community. Half-bloods are respected when they don't try to destroy purebloods. Voldemort was no saint, but he was neither stupid or evil. He wouldn't had amassed massive support from prestigious families if he was.
>>223836721yo whos that ugly ass mofo he looks cool

>>223837111anime is what came to mind first with how shitty most of it is nowadays. theyre also usually advertisement for the manga or toy products, which is why theyre not exactly the best quality most of the time. even shit thats a guaranteed sale like one piece has the worst possible fucking animation >inb4 dragon fighting webm
>>223836783based
>>223836932>that sounds wrongwhy did people stop saying this after the 2000s?
>>223837177Not all of it is shitty, my personal favourites being Bleach and Iruma for example. There are long running anime series that have proper funding. Also the industry is doing 100 times better than anything in the west with dozens of smaller and bigger studios around. Obviously you can't expect a high average but exceptionally big series can easily have great anime series. OP is seen as a stinker for good reason though.
>>223837082anime are only 2 million for 12 episodes
>>223837095To continue, Malfoid-Potter gives a plausible continuation to the 7 book series. Voldemort did fucked up shit but was not wrong about everything. He tried to warn everyone, and with his defeat the Wizarding world will have a new challenge. Subtle persecution of purebloods leads to diminishing capability of magic in new Hogwarts students and radical anti-pureblood ideology The children of Malfoid-Potter are bullied for their pureblood status. Muggle technology and "alternative forms of magic that are equally valid" are introduced into Hogwarts. Muggleborn institutions are made aware of wizard and are meddling increasingly in their world. Everyone of pureblood ancestry is discriminated and students incapable of magic are favored in Hogwarts. It is the apocalypse Voldemort tried to warn about.Albus Severus Potter and his Slytherin friends need to restore balance in Hogwarts. Old man Harry questions his role in the downfall of the wizarding world and long conversations between Harry and Lucius Malfoy make them agree that magical world needs to tackle the Muggleborn problem.
>>223837240>>223837177Yea there is a big difference between anime that can make money off ads and those that can't. Obviously now its different aith streaming rights and merch taking over the revenue.

The child stars are more built for a whimsical fairy tale setting and struggled in more serious circumstances. People in the previous thread were talking about the lake rescue task. >>223838552He's probably as much of a mega-autist with girls as Harry, honestly it's a wonder they didn't become better friends with how much they have in common.
>>223838744my girl ice cold
>>223838757Krum only exists so that Hermione can have a world star chasing after her.
>>223836573What spell is Malfoid going to cast on Harry?
>>223838665at this point it's just easier to have someone like Krum just say something like>come on worms, let's have some fun and switch partners a bit.and then in the middle, Harry and Malfoid have their little moment together
>>223838769kekCan't argue with that
>>223838789A spell that doesn't just clean, but cleanse.
>>223838789She already did - Schutzstaffel spell.
>>223838789From what I've seen it's a spell that makes him attracted to light eyed blondes only
>>223838744Heh. Imagine Harry And Malfoid both step out of the ball "for some air", have a civilized chat, and even dance just because. And Beetle Skeeter is there taking in very moment, blowing it up as some scandalous affair for the paper. Thus Malfoid is pressured by Lucius to set the record straight, spreading rumors to cover her own ass, and setting her back with Harry.
>>223838792Fred and George or maybe Cedric would do that, Krum only has fun when he's flying.
>>223838792But like what would be the point of that? they just dance together they're not going together. There is nothing romantic about it. You may as well write a scene about them bumping in the hallway one day or getting paired up in a random class. This wouldn't be elavated in any way other than in a girls mind.
>>223838792not as fun>>223838744Of course it's vicious. She's a vicious person. That's why it's exciting. The payoff at the end comes from an author being able to skillfully make you believe this crazy bitch and actual Death Eater eventually admits to and has the courage to act on a genuine, enduring, wholesome love for Harry.
>>223838849Fuck, that makes perfect sense. You could even make it so that neither Malfoid nor Harry saw too much during it but since Rita all but wrote her version of 50 Shades of Grey, they can't help but remember it ever more romantically.
>>223838870are you autistic or something?if someone pushed you in the arms of the girl you had a crush on but never told and then you end up dancing 3 minutes with her and she smiles at you at the end, I guarantee you this is romantic as fuck.jesus christ dude, read the room.
>>223838649It probably will.Just as long as they cut out Grawp entirely. Also, I want them to cut out Peeves merely because there’s a segment of fans that get inordinately pissed about him being skipped over, and I want to witness the absolute assblast that results.
>>223838909I could ask you the same thing because she spends the whole evening with another guy. Also at this point harry wasn't even supposed to be into her otherwise he'd just ask her out with no contrivance.
>>223837095voldemort is a shipfag?
>>223838993>otherwise he'd just ask her out with no contrivance.NTA but not necessarily. Barring just normal "asking your crush to go to the party with you" being a massive spaghetti dropping moment, at that point they've fucking hated each other for the past 3 years, he also has no idea if her opinion has changed at all, and on top of that their social circles are incompatible and also hate each other. The barrier for him to ask her to the ball would be really high.
>>223838909He's not autistic, he's thinking about it as a story not just a random dumbass personal anecdote. Setting up a scenario where Malfoid dances with Harry for the champion's dance is pure kino. It would be iconic. Much more exciting tension and irony than some random partner swapping.
>tfw I actually don’t really care about Malfoid, I just want to talk about Harry PotterI rewatched the movies recently, for the first time in years. I remember going to see the first movie with my entire class in elementary school when I was lîke 7, and I remember watching the last one in a very small, very comfy theater that’s since been closed down. It really was an experience when you were growing up with it. I simply do not know of any other adaptation (although what I say applies to the books as well) that grew alongside its audience. Now you can argue that it became too gritty by the end, but even then it remained pretty okay all things considered. I was specifically thinking about the tone shift that starts to me at the very end of book 4, in the graveyard. That to me is really the point of no return in tone for the story. If the final battle of Hogwarts had taken place at the end of book 4 then we'd have gotten whimsical shenanigans like the Quidditch team batting Death Eaters with their magic balls, Dobby dabbing on them and probably a Fluffy cameo. I'm not saying this is better than what we got, I'm just considering the changes.
>>223836897that is a great AI malfoid, can i get this without the ron genderswap?
>>223839084Yes, it is canon that Malfoid nicked the book off her dad without knowing what it was. Tom talks to her and tells her to get close to Pottah, she does and Tom slowly starts shipping them. He closes the Chamber and years later when the actual Voldemort collects the diary, he gets infected by his own shipper feels.
>warner bros remake a twenty year old ship for their joanne paid actor psyop so 40 year old troons, hags and virgins watch their hbo slopRead another book and watch something better you retarded brown zoomers
>>223839091So is she his crush or does he hate her? Malfoids the tsundere not him. And if he has another date or multiple date options hes gonna be more concerned with them instead. Its just too jumbled and sloppy.
>>223836674>In fact no movie ever goes back to the child friendly/ family aesthetic. And that's a good thing, it's time for the real world jackass, time to fight a war.
>>223838301>They're pressed by everyone else around them to go with other people, but in the end, when no one's watching, they still find each other.KINO KINO KINO
>>223838428Why R63 Snape? Where's the catch? He seems fine as it is
>>223839320>time to fight a war.Against whom and for what?
>>223838909>>223838993>>223839091By the way, Harry has not been crushing on Malfoid at all at this point. He's crushing on Cho Chang, who is going with Cedric. Malfoid is just the annoying Slytherin bitch who always seems to be giving him grief for no good reason. In the original book, Harry goes to the event with literally who. He almost forgets that he's supposed to even dance at all, the entire segment is over in a couple of tiny paragraphs that ends with Mad-Eye Moody makes a goofy comment about Harry's knitted socks. The champion's dance is "blink and you'll miss it," with really no narrative impact whatsoever. He barely even thinks about Cho.Basically, the Yule Ball would be the opportunity for Harry to see Malfoid as stunningly beautiful. The first inkling, for his part, that there might be something there.
>>223839335That one is just a shitpost. Some anon considered it but it would mean Snapeoid is still obsessed by the guy who humiliated her in public. The story just gets really weird if you include shit like that.
>>223837757Can you imagine the pre-workouts you could cook up with magical ingredients
>>223839335Early in this trend they were just gender swapping everybody. I think its mostly died down as the canonically close crowd is winning out as it becomes more appearent just how well malfoid fits into the normal lore.
>>223839335People doing genderbending fanfics always get carried away with the possibilities. eg Snape is a jilted ex-lover of Harry's father and Hates Harry because he has Lily's eyes.
>>223839362Yea this definitely needs a rewrite. Why this sorta trend exists.
>>223837982that's just how england looks
>>223839335not that anon but personally R63 Snape > R63 MalfoyIt depends on how you handle Snape's relationship with James. If she's still bullied it's kind of weird, but if you have her get cuckquean'd by her best friend Lily then the internally seething foidsnape is kind of interesting. Or you could make Snape a lesbian and James' bullying is inspired by him tormenting a lesbian proto-pureblood supremacist AND stealing her girl.R63 Malfoy requires less retcons to work though, and I think that's the point of its success.
>>223839419Tbf snape already looks like a girl outside of things he can't control. And goth mommies were a big thing a few years back.
>>223839362>Basically, the Yule Ball would be the opportunity for Harry to see Malfoid as stunningly beautiful. The first inkling, for his part, that there might be something there. It's been ages since I read the book but isn't the Yule Ball the "Oh, Hermione isn't just our friend, she's a beautiful woman" moment for both Harry and Ron? At least I remember it that way in the movie.
>>223839471Malfoid requires work but in doing so, you elevate the entire story.Snapoid just changes the genre for a few chapters
>>223839471>james bullies snapette>malfoid bullies harry???
>>223839494It was for Ron, not that I ever bought it, but not for Harry. At least in the books, it's been ages since I saw the movie.
>>223839494sounds like something a woman would write
>>223839503No, no. The other anon has a point. Embittered goth mommy Snape elevates the story and removes the Mr. Brightside subplot
>>223839410The only other genderswap I'm sold on is fem-Cedric, because a couple of /v/ posters with their headcanons convinced me it would be absolute cinema.
>>223839543GoF is the coming of age story, it's not really a woman writing thing
>>223838882> they can't help but remember it ever more romanticallyGaslighting is not something I expect in teen romance. kino
>>223839520>James bullied Snapette so hard she never forgot it for the rest of her life>was so obsessed over it she even risks her life for his sonNah mate, doesn't work the same. You're just turning a loser and obsessed asshole into a woman so schizo even Bellatrix would tell her to come off it.
>>223839091>The barrier for him to ask her to the ball would be really high.Of course it would be. The challenge for a good writer is to figure out a way to get Harry over that bar anyway. That's what makes it entertaining.
>>223839546Embittered goth mommy Snape is material for doujinshi, not a rewrite of the books.
>>223839562Partially. I just imagined that at the time they were just lightly bantering back and forth while they got over how disappointing their dates were.Only after reading 50 Shades of Green by Rita Skeeter did they realise how intimate that moment really was.
Calling it now: Harry and Malfoy should date over the summer. When, I don't know. But without house/family pressure is the best time for them to pursue their mutual attraction. Maybe Lucius has business in the Ministry, and Harry has left the Dursley's for an afternoon escape. Dracaena slips away from her father, bored, and runs into Potter. A tense standoff ensues, but Harry offers to buy her lunch rather than get caught dueling outside of Hogwarts. She accepts. And that is just the start.
>>223836897r63ing Ron is so wrong.Ron is Harry's bro.
>>223839643Only canon opportunity is in PoA after Harry balloons up his aunt and spends two weeks in Diagon Alley instead of the Dursleys. Malfoid could be there, in theory. Dunno if they would actually date tho. Also just remember how at the start of Chamber, Harry almost got found by Draco in Nocturne alley, could be interesting to write how Malfoid found him but didn't say a word.
>Sings McArthur Park> KINO
>>223839557I could see it. Still rival girl but minus the bitchiness part. Also has the kino shows up later trope. Does she still died though?
>>223835651He said calmly.
>>223836327I read all the books but I stopped after movie 5 because I grew out of it.
>>223839583Or just watching it unfold. Having her just handed to him kinda diminishes the value. Like a product.
USA USA USA USA!
>>223839680Malfoy is high class so I'm not sure how much running into they would do outside of wizard world but harry could always get a summer job when hes older maybe working for the wealthy.
>>223839786Thats when they stopped being good. Based.
>>223839494Yes. That part works fine. That's the procession where the champions enter with their dates. Hermione stuns Harry and Ron, showing up with Viktor all dressed up and beautiful. Malfoid looking like a princess wouldn't be surprising. It would be the dance itself that affects Harry. Being close to her, looking into her eyes, feeling her graceful shape, her pheromones scrambling his brain a little. He's left a bit dazed and confused before they part ways for the night.
>>223839864Not possible, because of rowlings retarded love protection magic he has to be at the Dursleys and he is also rich, he doesn't need to workNot even Ron had a summer job
yes i am SEmonkie :p
>>223839840Why fo you act like this 3 gender site matters when its clearly english only or english focused?
>>223839660You know who r63’s Ron?Haremniggers. It’s also generally bad writing, because if you want to write a first-girl-wins, childhood friend story without Hermione or Ginny, the objectively correct answer is to turn Hedwig into a human.
>>223837982>Why are the colors like this? That's London for you
>>2238399171) it's a joke2) sorry Chud but the 3rd gender is just "private" so no cultural war here soldier.
>>223839741The quick rundown goes something like>fem-Cedric is a cool big sisterly girl on good terms with most of the student body>in addition to being rivals in the tournament, Harry has a huge doomed (both figuratively and literally) crush on her>as an older and wiser student she sees what's going on with Harry and Malfoid, tries to push him in the right direction with her>she basically also yoinks Cho's role in GoF and Harry has a lot more complicated personal connection to her by the end than with og Cedric>her parting words during Priori Incanum make it hurt even morePeople said it would make Voldy one of the most hated villains of all time and I have to agree
>>223839900>Luscius is out eating death>Mom is doing something>Malfoid makes a surprise visit to stay at the dursleys for three monthskino
>>223839909based
>>223839864The Ministry is still in London. Lucius has lots of pull there and is constantly meeting with someone. It isn’t unplausible that is daughter would get bored and skip out to explore the city. And Harry isn’t chained to the Dursleys, he could conceivably knight bus into town and back whenever he needs a time out.
>>223839959Cute but it makes Narcissa and Luscious a bit too retarded and little Malfoid would have no way of knowing where Privet drive is nor how to get there.
>>223839993>he could conceivably knight bus into town and back whenever he needs a time out.He never does though and Dumbledore would tell him off if he tried.
>>223840002>Mails harry a letter then follows his owl or sends her own familiar after it
>>223840017>and Dumbledore would tell him off if he tried.Which would be one more obstacle that drives them apart, so by the time school starts they're right back to hating each other. Except not really as they both have a better understanding of the person without school or societal pressure.
>>223839939kino sloppa
>>223840055What would really help if they kept writing letters to each other for some reason or another. It would allow them to get closer in certain ways while also keeping the status quo. Could even start by having Malfoid send him a letter when she makes fun of him and Harry sends one back to mock her in return.

>>223840180After the Malfoy family is disgraced and they end up on Voldemort's shitlist after the end of 5th book they and the other sycophants could abandon Malfoy in favor of other deatheaters or licking Voldemort's boots directly. However, there are a few last minute points to adjust, due to recent events.”>”To Dracola Malfoy, for her brave transition and courage in the face of the ongoing trans genocide, I award 100 points!”>Malfoy beamed beneath his poorly washed, and stringy hair that had grown out through the year. He shrugged his masculine shoulders as Slytherin house begins to cheer, however the cheers quickly vanish as no emeralds fall into the container at the front of the great hall. A silence stretches across the chamber as Dumbledore speaks up once more.>”It would seem that nobody by that name attends Hogwarts, and therefore cannot collect the points owed to Slytherin house. I believe a change of decoration is in order!”>He claps his hands together as a rope descends from the invisible roof, forming a tight noose around Malfoy’s neck. Malfoy only kicks for a few moments after being suspended in the air. Cheers burst out from the other tables.>Dumbledore stretches his legs over to Snape, and draws his wand faster than the surly faced man can react.>”Sectumsempra!” He bellowed calmly as his wand pointed towards the greasy man’s crotch. Soon, Snape had an axe wound that matched the size and shape of his long, crooked nose. As the remains of his member hit the floor, a monster book of monsters took it and began to tuck in.>”Severus indeed!” Dumbledore winked, as he turned to fave us, the audience.

Which would push Malfoid away from the deatheater ideology and making her hate Voldy even if she is being forced to be part of it.
