No, no, the core of cyberpunk is about humanity´s conflict with technology and it´s pretty much the disillusioned doomer answer or spin to the optimism of the promises of retro futurism. People wanted to believe in nuclear energy, the space race and the utopia promised by the corporations but then the real world called.
