Getting really tired of this shit.

So the shipment cost of my order was that high because they thought it was a clever thing to separate 15 items in 4 different shipments.
At least everything arrived in a cardboard box, even the item shipped alone.

気になってる人が男じゃなかった was never supposed to be hardcover that I know of, it was advertised as keeping its color which it did. The only hardcover yuri that came out recently was the final volume of that vampire doujin if you got the special edition.

What a terrible cover. I see lately they are giving a lot of attention to "designers" who decide the covers of the volumes and similar things and it's clear they don't know anything about yuri and are just trying to aim at normalfags. How can anyone interested in yuri understand that it's a yuri series with a cover like that? Is it that difficult to do the bare minimum and put two girls on the cover?

At this point I guess we will never go back to the old shipping rates, I tried Amazon and cdJapan and the cost for the shipment is basically the same, more than double what I used to pay one year ago. The only good thing is that the yen keeps being weak, but the shipment remains 60% of the price of the goods and that's insane.
Herami shimai seems to be selling well since it's out of stock and it will take 1/2 weeks to restock, which is a problem for me since my order will be, again, split in more packages.
Still no news about Koneko-chan 2 and I don't know if it's a positive or a negative thing, like, they won't remove it from my order because they're still waiting to restock? Or did they just forget about it?

I ordered 私の可愛い子猫ちゃん from galette and didn't get it delivered until early last week so it may have had a delay in stocking since it came out right around golden week. I also can't believe EMS is still more expensive than couriers. It has been ages since commercial flights to japan were opened again so there's no reason they can't lower the EMS rate back to sane levels. The lack of inflation in japan and the weak yen has really allowed me to buy a ton more yuri than I normally could.

I don't know how the situation is in Japan but I could see in the last months every series/publisher has increased the price of the volumes, some of even 60 yen all in once, see Yuri Hime from 680 yen to 740.

This. Inflation and favorable exchange rates makes yuri about the only thing that still feels worth the price. I mean, that was always the case, but more so now. And high shipping prices everywhere just means forwarding services are more attractive, so now I am importing doujinshi too.

I wouldn't have half as much yuri doujin and merch if it wasn't for honto's SAL shipments stopping a few years ago and amazon dropping the ball after that. Realizing how many amazing exclusives existed opened my eyes to the wonders of importing yuri and it was easy to expand to doujin and other merch from there. The yen just dropped significantly this week again so it is a perfect time to load up on a few of the rare and expensive yuri goods I had my eye on.

Speaking of merch and doujinshi, this year I wanted to get some of those for my annual forwarder order for the first time, but I always used only amazon and cdjapan so I don't know anything about those specialized sites, which one do you suggest?
I gave a look at melonbooks because is the one I see more often used by artists but it looks like a mess to navigate (isn't there an english version?) and I can't find anything.
I searched 百合 in the goods category but I found only some WataYuri's solo stuff I'm not interested in. I searched the title of a couple of series and nothing showed up. I'm searching for stuff like keychains, pins, badges, cards, literally any useless item I'll never ever use but that has yuri illustrations on it. For example something like this one

It's not any better for doujinshi. I wanted to get some of the most famous ones starting with Mira's ones but pic related are the only ones printed and available, despite the dozens of doujinshi she has made. I guess you're supposed to buy them as soon as they are released but that's not something I can do on a regular basis. It's sad all those works must be lost forever. Or are there better sites? Toranoana, animate, gamers...

For starters, don't restrict your search to the goods category. A lot of those types of goods you are looking for are sold as part of special editions along with the original item. For example, this listing for the second volume of 週クラ:

Availability for older goods/extras is bad in general, and stock is hit or miss at all the shops I've checked. Occasionally authors will add more stock, but a lot of sold out items will just be sold out forever. The one positive is that more authors are releasing digital versions these days.

Most japanese sites look like they are from 2010 with terrible UX and it takes a lot of getting used to. There are multiple major bookstore companies that commonly promote bonuses for tankoban releases, and melon is usually going to have the best ones, but it isn't always the case so you will need to shop around if you are looking for something specific. I buy from melon, gamers, animate, toranoana, mangaoh, comic zin, amazon, and more depending on what they are offering. There are tons of bonuses and it gets messy trying to keep up. No way to track that easily besides following the author to see what bonuses they are making. The amazon link you sent is for a melon bonus for one of the tankoban releases for that series. They tend to sell out unless you preorder. Standalone merch doesn't get sold on its own unless the series has anime in most cases. Melon does offer a built in google translate function at the top banner if you are in a non-chrome browser or just use chrome's translate if you are in chrome.

If you want doujin I recommend using this landing page to see yuri doujin broken into helpful categories. As you noticed, things don't stay in print. In fact, they are often printed by the author via printing/binding stores and shipped to melon for consignment so the author in many cases may only print a few hundred or less depending on how many they expect to sell. Printing tons of books that don't sell and paying melonbooks to sell them would be a financial disaster for doujin authors who barely make much to begin with so they are conservative with how many copies they put out initially. Mira reprints her longer doujin series occasionally but those are the only ones. It is nearly impossible to be a completionist unless you are actively following the author's every move so you don't miss the short windows of availability for some items.

Yes, I know about bonuses attached to volumes but I'm not willing to buy the same thing more times to get a small bonus, I'm already having problems with the lack of space on my shelf and like I said I can't do it on a regular basis. Double shipment, japanese taxes, forwarder's fee, it's too much money wasted I can do it once or twice at best a year so I can't follow new releases as they are released.
I hoped I could get some small merch, but if that's the case then I'll just keep using amazon for used stuff and resellers.
The availability of doujinshi also sucks. Rather than new stuff I never read so I don't know what it really has inside, I wanted to get my favourite doujinshi I read in all these years via scans so I already know it's stuff I like and I have no problem with, I can support the author and I can finally own a work I liked. But since it's all out of stock there's nothing I can do about it.

I can read japanese so I'll rather keep it that way than using a translator, I was just asking because I get an english pop-up everytime I open the site saying "for overseas customers" but then the whole site is in japanese. And in general letters instead of kanji make the site feels cleaner/lighter.

I guess I'll give a look to the other sites too to see if I can find something I like but in the end I think I'll stick to amazon even if by now I already got almost everything I wanted.
