>>4276406I'm still using my Wacom Bamboo Create CTH-670 that I've had ever since I started drawing digitally maybe 12 years ago now. A lot of people are going to tell you that a screen tablet is the only way to go, but it depends entirely on what you want. My tablet is about the size of a piece of paper and has a bit of resistance so I'm not slipping around all over it. I like that I don't have to look down at what I'm drawing, but this is because this is what I'm used to. My hand doesn't get in the way of the line, I can look at the screen and the line is there. I do remember when I FIRST started using the tablet all those years ago it took a little getting used to as it was a weird feeling not looking at the pen but now it's the only way I can draw digitally. Drawing on an iPad feels extremely weird and foreign to me, so I've never really gone for screen tablets. Also without a screen this thing is very durable, I've spilt water, coffee, set very hot things on top of it, and it still works just fine. It is still prone to scratches and the top coat has kind of worn off of mine but that's after years of use and again, still totally usable. For your first tablet, I recommend NOT spending a ton of money on something like a Cintiq, you can get the job done with a cheapo tablet that fits what you prefer.
