Doesn't anybody else miss a simple story where two girls meet, fall in love and start dating?I feel like recent series all have some crazy/absurd gimmick to draw attention.Buying your classmate, twotiming the school's idols, hating your childhood friend, substituting the girl you love with her little sister...I've finished Suki na ko no imouto and it could simply be the story of Yuika and Mimi. Nagisa barely did anything until the very end of the volume which is very, very forced. At the beginning MC says that even if they're sisters they're different but in the end all it takes is a pair of contact lens and a tie of a different colour? Turning down the girl you love because you have to study is also incredibly forced and so is the incest kiss at the end though there won't be anyone against it (very based).Not really a complaint since as long as it's yuri anything goes and more yuri we have the better it is, but I crave more simple stories like AdaShima. We've got a lot of them in manga but not in LN, LN always go for crazy settings.

And a few pages from the end you have the student risking to be raped by him.Then it ends like it started, because the whole story was a flashback, with the two of them that don't have any kind of relationship other than being teacher and student. Because the student says she's in love with the teacher after she saved her from being raped, but the teacher won't consider her. She acts like a proper teacher... except the moments when she goes full retard and brings a student to her home.Also the student that goes from being annoyed by her ex-boyfriend who keeps insisting to get back together and that he will make her fall in love with him despite he's been rejected everytime, to doing the exact same thing herself with the teacher, like using the very same words.What a bad writing and what a bad story. She subconsciously fell in love more or less right away through a combination of Toriko's beauty, their quickly growing friendship and comradery in exploring her sole interest (otherside & creepyshit); but like a dumbass she didn't realize for a while that's actually what she felt or that she was super obvious about feeling it. So Toriko saying they were the closest things ever was just the reassurance she needed.

Eventually the younger sister finds out the older one is a lesbian, switches on the brain and goes like "oh, right, gay people exists, I've never thought about it while reading my sister's yuri manga, who could've thought that my dear sister that keeps touching me was gay?" and after learning her sister was in love with her "oh, shit, I was always gay and in love with my senpai at school".Well, you can't really expect good writing from this author, but it's definitely better than Kare nanka yori that, speaking of which, the author mentioned in the afterword is getting a manga adaption but I can't find anything on google. Why though? It's a one-shot story from years ago and wasn't even popular. And why now? Maybe there's still hope for Hatsukoi aite's manga, anime and drama adaptions.

I've read Yonin seishimai yurimonochou (四人制姉妹百合物帳) that started with a character using "boku" which immediately made me roll my eyes because I still have to see one girl using "boku" in real life. However my expectations were betrayed but not in a good way because the character using "boku" was, in fact, a boy. Yes, the POV of this novel is a boy. A boy that doesn't appear anywhere in the illustrations nor in the description. This was already enough to get me mad but it got worse. So to make it simple the story is this boy meeting a girl that narrates him the stories of her older sister in a girls-only school. The stories themselves have only girls, though they're absurd and looks like the typical male fantasy of girls-only schools with girls playing with each other's nipples and showing each other's shaved pussy, without any hint of romance and with the occasional disgusting het joke. And between a story and the other you have the, obviously sexual, reactions of this adolescent boy and it's fucking disgusting. You would also ask why a girl would talk with a boy about shaved pussies but it's clear the author isn't interested in writing a serious story.This honestly felt like Kotozaki-san, a boy and a girl together talking about stories that are not even yuri but just "weird" and it left a very bad taste. Lately I've been reading satisfying novels so I had forgotten how bad it is when you end up with such shit in your hands.
