I miss when Kuroko was a pedophile
>>4357981anime any time now
>>4357982You mean for the 1 arc? That's dumb
>>4358114not 3d fingers crossed
>>4357982Has she explicitly not been into lolis at any point?
will this year be the one that give us an anime adaptation?
>>4358250I bought four volumes at chapters the other day so it better
>>4358253You did it, that was the final sale needed to initiate the anime!
>>4358250Why would it be? No one even seems to be talking about the manga anymore.
It’s so weird that in 10+ years and 25 volumes he’s never gotten a single piece of official merch, only winnable items.Even the most unknown shit gets a figure or at the very least a shitty button, I wonder if he did something to deserve that lol
>>4369520why what happened, too much of the same thing and not enough progress I'm guessing
>>4369572Probably has full control of the merch rights and doesn't wanna do it out side of stuff fans can win
>>4358250I dont want a Murcielago anime/OVA unless it's high budget
mercy mercy me
next volume doku....
>>4358124Oh my GOD heavens no EUUUUUGH
>>4357982I've stopped reading, but I check in on these threads every now and again because I'd come back if she ever started something with Hinako
Looks like chapters are back to being bi-weekly. I still need this boring as fuck VR arc to be over asap though
>>4390319It's still on-going...?
>>4401981Seriously, people talk about this as if it was older than 20 years.
>>4357982I haven't read the later chapters but she consistently talks about how cute little girl are and would swoop them right away the moment they hit the age 18
>>4402108This is the longest running yuri at this point isn’t it
>>4416465>This is the longest running yuri at this point isn’t itYuruYuri began serialization in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime S magazine on June 12, 2008.Murcielago is YrYr imouto running in Square Enix Young Gangan magazine from August 2013.Even Virgins' Empire manga began its run in Business Jump in 2010.

So when's the next English volume gonna drop?
>>4421163August
Wonder if someone will ever upload Our Tube.
>>4438677Psycho Serial Killer that cheats constantly but the pussy game ridiculous.
was vol 24 ever uploaded anywhere? I realized it had been a long time since I was notified about a new volume since 23, and I see that 24 came out months ago, but doesn't seem to have been uploaded to nyaa
>>4440012Yeah I downloaded it from someone here.
>>4417352>>4418070How the hell is Virgin's Empire not real yuri? I would understand if it was just Yuru Yuri's bait, but that is illogical.
>>4440012It was posted in the previous thread, but it looks like that download no longer works.
>>4440037Could you upload it somewhere and post a download link?
can someone post the full res of some of these?
Any news on latest volume?
>>4475172I hear there might be lesbians in it
>>4475174Nah
>>4475174I cant even tell you what was the last one we got. Something about a perfume lady? The wait is wild
Murcielago feels like an obviously male written yuri, unlike MahoAko, for some reason. I think the characters need to have some stronger and more colourful personality, and we don't have enough wholesome moments and character development.
>>4507193I'm pretty sure the author is a woman since they have a feminine nameAnd does anyone have downloads for vol 24 and 25?
>>4507193This is the dumbest bait I have ever read. Hurr durr, reverse the facts and hope people get upset about it. We all know it's the other way around, move on.
>>4508246Author is indeed a guy, but that comment about the characters not having personality still makes zero sense because Murciélago has a very adequate amount of wholesome moments and character exploration, and I admit this series has its flaws. (I've almost given up on it multiple times in the past couple years before it hooked me back in)And to answer your question, I don't have downloads, but there are a few third-party sites still keeping up with the English release like this one here: https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/murcielago/Just an addition but that raw site linked in the OP also doesn't work anymore so I figured I'd give one that's still up: https://rawfree.ch/manga-raw/%e3%83%a0%e3%83%ab%e3%82%b7%e3%82%a8%e3%83%a9%e3%82%b4-murcielago-raw-free/

>>4507193>colourful personalityI feel like you skimmed the series because that's just blatantly wrong. Every one in the main cast has a well defined personality. Like how the fuck are you gonna say that about Kuroko of all people?!
>>4508297Does Kuroko eat this blue girl?
>>4508297Thanks!But am I stupid one or do you need Chrome to donwload this? It keeps saying my Firefox can't download it and demands Chrome. Am I doing something wrong?

>>4508651thank ya kindly
>>4508326Because he is baiting. He is trying to pretend this is written for males and MahoAko, male oriented fanservice slut shit, is written for women. It's too obvious.
>>4508284Thank you so much for reader links!
>>4508675>Also shit talking MahoAkoYou sure you aren't the one baiting? You sound like you skimmed MakoAko too
Lets just agree both Murcielago and MahoAko are made for people who like yuri and not het

>>4509313>>4508297Any potential reup?
>>4509625bato has up to vol 25
Goddamn I should've started collecting this manga ages ago, what's the likelihood volume 5 will ever be reprinted?
>>4509649Arent the batos downOnly one I found up hasnt updated Murc in 45 days
>>4509651The english publisher will probably want to reprint it at some point since they rarely shy away from overprinting in my experience. The JP version is reprinted occasionally and 5 is still available at the moment too. If you look hard enough you'd probably be able to find a small bookstore somewhere with an online presence to buy it from as well.
>>4509656Bato.si and bato.ing mirrors are working but still have some image loading server issues. All other mirrors are dead or set behind VPN for most of the world.
>>4509863Doesnt seem like they have it uploaded

Can someone summarize what's happened in the latest arc (ch. 198-201) so far? Something about the cop guy's family issues it looks like?
>>4516960Going by machine translations of the pics…one of the cop’s male cousins or something relatives killed their abusive father, getting the two brothers sent to jail while the little sister goes to foster care and then now attacked her abusive foster parents as a teen? Honestly can’t keep track of what’s happening anymorehttps://klz9.com/murcielago-raw.htmlIt looks like raws of a new chapter (202) are up now; feeling less interested in waiting for the English translations so I might drop it and come back after a couple years again to read new volumes in bulk. Catching up from where I left off (volume 8) made the art style changes more obvious

>>4566019Worries about censoring is inevitable.
>>4566057I would say why do it in the first place but then this season had Dorohedoro s2 with graphic gore and Barbie doll anatomy on the women.Still worried it might end up having the budget of Inferno cop, even if the sex scenes would be really funny in that case.
This getting an anime adaptation is proof that slipping timelines is a real thing
>>4566057This is why the show is a perfect Netflix exclusive candidate so they don't have to worry too much about that. I hope a good staff is attached to it.
>>4566088>Netflix>episode 2 of the show is released in 2030
>>4566088>NetflixMore like OceanVeil. That's where all the extreme ecchi goes recently. Stuff like Nukitashi and the Android yuri shortsIn Japan, it'd be AT-X/Animefesta.
It's finally o/u/r timeWhat do you expect from the anime? What will it adapt? Who will voice? What merch will it get?
>>4507193>>4566098>>4566084Murcielago really obviously has more "nerdy woman who usually reads BL and/or josei smut but is open to yuri" appeal, if you have experience with Japanese fans and not just lame westerners. Compare the gender ratios here:https://www.cmoa.jp/title/customer_review/title_id/188883/?site_kbn=1https://www.cmoa.jp/title/customer_review/title_id/76203/?site_kbn=1
>>4566189>What do you expect from the anime?Censorship.>What will it adapt?Probably up to the Sakura Society arc.>What merch will it get?Dildo swords.
>>4566189>What do you expect from the anime?Either outstanding or very poor quality visuals; no in-between. What I hope for: Romi Park reprising her role as Kuroko.>What will it adapt?Up to the ending of the rainy day arc would be the most ideal pacing-wise but I get the feeling they're gonna cram in as many chapters as they can.>What merch will it get?Posters and figures. I pray they won't go all-out with the otaku male pandering for the lesbian characters (yes, I recognize the irony in this statement).
>>4566199I don't get why you guys are insecure about male-oriented yuri. It's like those guys who wouldn't accept that the Watanare movie screenings were complete sausage fests either.
>>4566057I'm more concerned about animation quality
>>4566221Because they usually suck shit. It feels more like a fetish. Like men can write good yuri, but male oriented yuri feels antithetical >>4553931God I hope that's true
>>4566221>>4566227I mean you could very easily say Murcielago is fetishistic in its approach to lesbianism but the same applies to stuff the women I'm talking about draw & like (again look at fujo genderbend yuri art). Sometimes you'll read comments like "most yuri is not hardcore enough and too moe and cutesy" from them. Watanare always struck me as the kind of thing that would have a sausagefest fanbase but Murcielago basically has "Tumblr sexyman" vibes if the Tumblr sexyman was a large-breasted girl.My problem with extremely male otaku centric yuri is how many are drawn to it because they view it as "purer and wholesomer" which tends to result in less basic human honesty and more overly cutesy infantilization, a focus on "SO FRAGILE... SO ELEGANT..." etc>>4566225if it's cheap then it needs to be super well directed & have strong evocative art. good movement would be ideal but yeah
>>4566221>>4566227I would definitely say that "male-oriented" and "created by a male" are not the same thing.Murcielago is the most "created by a male" yuri I can think of with its focus on crime, action, sex at regular intervals, etc. It's not a negative thing, but it is a thing that can be noticed.but ultimately all these gender stereotypes are kind of bullshit anyway just be glad we finally got an anime
>>4566242>>Murcielago is the most "created by a male" yuri I can think of with its focus on crime, action, sex at regular intervals>ultimately all these gender stereotypes are kind of bullshit anyway just be glad we finally got an animeI mean yes? you kind of countered your own point here. a lot of female otaku like this stuff FOR that reason like how they enjoy all-male cast series (for example if they can love Fukumoto series, why can't they love this). the fact that the vibes are like that is the appeal and it fits the kind of character Kuroko is.
>>4566240>My problem with extremely male otaku centric yuri is how many are drawn to it because they view it as "purer and wholesomer" which tends to result in less basic human honesty and more overly cutesy infantilization, a focus on "SO FRAGILE... >>4566019FINALLY
https://x.com/murcielago_anmhttp://murcielago-anime.com/Some sus things are set up.
>>4568083I'm predicting a worldwide hit so successful they immediately break ground on a Murcielago Amusement Park
>>4566242>>4566244Murcielago has a lot of lesbian fans actually, Tomb Raider and Black Lagoon too. Of course the female audience seem miniscule compared to the male audience, but that's just because these stuff are only appealing to gay women, while heterosexuals are the majority of human population.
>>4568099Is it just the skin thief arc?
>>4568117The lesbians in my circle are mad hyped. Though it just immediately occurred to me that they might have to change the skin mask arc because Kuroko did initially plan to groom the killer's daughter and then that plot thread was dumped so she can get a milf instead
>>4568158>because Kuroko did initially plan to groom the killer's daughter and then that plot thread was dumped so she can get a milf insteadShe did groom her, she turned her into a lesbian weapon for her private army of lesbians.
>>4568168No I mean like sexually. Or at least that's what I remember the dialogue kinda being >private army of lesbiansI've always liked to think of it as her well connected intelligence network of lesbians
>>4568176Even back then Kuroko says she won't fuck her until she's like 16
>>4568184Yea that's the part they are gonna edit out I'd imagine
>>4568184Biblically accurate Kuroko wouldn't even wait.
>>4568188Because the idea that she would wait for her to grow up is lame?
>>4568188but its kosher, she said she'll wait until she is of age
>>4568188>killing children is okay>but fucking teenagers is a bit too much
>>4568749>>4568776>>4568783Yes believe it or not people outside of here find it distasteful that a woman in her 30s is sexually grooming a 12 year old
>>4568792But it's distasteful on purpose.And she's in her 20s.
>>4568803Yea no shit it's distasteful on purpose I'm just saying that the avg viewer will be okay with her being a narcissistic serial killer with a leash but draw the line at grooming. But we shall see>And she's in her 20sHuh I remembered her being older. Weird
>>4568792>>4568808It will be fine. Mahoako has an 8 year old turning 14 year olds into babies and making them have sex with each other, and an adult sexually abusing a 14 year old, and it still won.
>>4568813Yea but you don't learn about this until the literal end of the 2nd arc. Mahoako had the BDSM magical girls thing as it's premise so the only people who'd be surprised by it are people going in blind
>>4568083>>4566019Should we really be excited? This is the one series that needs a budget for proper action but I dont see that happening
>>4568826Who's the studio?
>>4568826>Should we really be excited?Yes
>>4568834We sadly do not know yet, we'll just have to wait and see. I'm really hoping it's a good studio, I do wonder what studio would be best for Murcielago.
>>4568826I'm hoping for, at the very, very least, a good composer so we at least have a god-tier OST to fall back on.
>>4568951It would have been studio madhouse when the manga was first starting
>>4568792Good thing that nips don't give a fuck about a bunch of western normies that have watched like 10 anime in their whole life bitching on X/Reddit.
>>4568792That's an extremely good thing! You stupid bitch!
>>4568083The site no longer resolves to the default Onamae landing page. Don't know what this means, but it means something, probably... I hope.
>>4568229Biblically accura---tf? You mean Goetically accurate. The manifestation of her soul is a giant eldritch monster.....and her name translates to Black child bat
>Studios: Satelight x Staple EntertainmentMurciélagosisters...
>>4574666
>>4574666Is that good or bad?
>>4574670Looking at the recent output (and the output of the director, Takashi Naoya), very very bad. If it's anything like the last adaptation they made (Ubel Blatt), it's gonna be censored and rushed to hell and back with terrible animation.
>>4574673Ubel Blatt director is quite worrying. But Staple did do Wedding Rings and Vermeil in Gold uncensored. Maybe their involvement can rescue this somewhat. While far from masterpieces, Staple's productions have also been better in animation and pacing than the disaster called Ubel Blatt. Man what's the point of adapting shit if you're going to censor and rush it and ruin it? I hate the industryDidn't the author say he preferred no adaptation over shit adaptation? Was that a lie? Did they manage to make him sell out?
>>4574675Doubtful Yoshimu has that much control to begin with.
>>4569899>>4569908I am literally only saying this because it's the only thing I can think of that would have to be altered in any way. For accuracy it should just stay
>>4574675>Didn't the author say he preferred no adaptation over shit adaptation? He did
>>4574686did he make any new statements about the announcement
>>4574963No, there haven't been any official confirmations or statements regarding the anime from either Yoshimura Kana, or the supposed animation studios. Considering the domain and especially the teaser though, I don't personally think it's fake news that it's in the works.
>>4574670Half of this shit is literally AI, I doubt it’s real and if it is it’s retarded.Yoshimu has stated multiple times that he is against AI, I doubt he would agree to something like this.
>>4575010Yeah it looks like a kid took manga page and used AI tools to make it look like anime poster. It looks awfull as hell especially seeing how much detail author actually puts in how weapons look and fights in overall.
Anyone got a link to the Sugoi tweet?
>>4575019Exactly, it’s almost insulting. I hope the leak account is just making things up for fun and this is not a real image.
>>4575021>>4575010Yeah, when I first saw the image, I noticed Hinako's hair and face looked nonsensical and whatever is going on with Kuroko's left hand too. What the fuck is this? Is the leak account known for messing with people or is this Staple Entertainment studio known for using AI-assisted art in their visuals or what? Something's very wrong.

>>4575079Cope better
>>4575073Anon got hit in the head by a manjuu and is retarded now, this is very clearly AI and if not the person that approved of this should get fired instantly because this drawing sucks more than your mom
>>4575149>very clearly AI and if not the person that approved of this should get fired instantSo we're back to not everything you dislike is AI
>>4575149It's not "clearly AI", because if it were, there would be no disagreement about it.Furthermore, what are those circles pointing out? There's no elaboration of what are these supposed AI tells.
>>4575150Clearly I dislike you and I don’t think you’re AI so your point doesn’t stand. Joke’s aside take a good look at the picture, I don’t know if you have any artistic knowledge but it’s very awkwardly drawn, especially the weird little artifacts at the bottom of the drawing. Look at kuroko’s right hair strand and how it’s blending into the shadow of her pants or how hinako’s hair clip melts into her hair. It’s okay to be excited to have new info about the potential upcoming anime but it’s also okay to point out very suspicious mistakes in the only supposed picture of it.
>>4575154Could it also be possible that the leaker or whoever found only a very low res image of a real visual and AI upscaled it, or is there zero doubt it's partially created with AI?
>>4575175I think that’s a good point but it would have had to have been upscaled so hard that the image became almost unrecognizable. There are way too many tangents and lighting errors present here but it is possible that the picture they found was a really low res, actually great drawing, they fed through AI. I agree with you.
>>4575154Yea but just looks shitty in a very normal ass way
None upscaled version and I’m pretty sure it’s not ai, yay to that.I’m personally not the biggest fan of them keeping the og Murciélago style from the first volumes but no AI is the best outcome.

newfag here, I picked this up on the recommendation of a friend and I'm really liking it. I just finished the Deep Ones arc and it was kinda meh, but the School Destruction arc was so great that I'm willing to keep going. Are there more yuri manga like this?
>>4576722>Are there more yuri manga like this? There's Satanophany, but you need a high tolerance to het to read it.
>>4576722action yuri is apparently very hard to do. so idk, symphogear? mai otome? nanoha probably. spec ops asuka. valkyrie drive. They all have weak points tho, they have more of everything else but yuri, well except VD
>>4576725That's fine, what really stood out to me in this was the shock factor, stuff like how Kuroko is just consistently and unabashedly depraved as a protagonist to the extent that she'll make a bad situation worse for no conceivable reason other than her personal whims. >>4576729Honestly the action is fine, it's neat but it's not the most impressive and interesting part of the manga.

can somebody please fill me in on if chiyo has gotten any major roles in the manga as of recent. though bear in mind i haven't read this since volume 20 came out in english.
>>4577463She gets a new menhera gf.She has her own harem now
>>4577482has she been plot relevant?
Just got caught up. I really don't think anything really catches up to the "holy shit" factor of the School Destruction arc, but overall I'm pretty satisfied with how consistently the main story has been advancing. I like the idea of stuff being interconnected and how the main story keeps advancing with every arc, even if it's just setting stuff up to pay off later. Also I know it's not a top-tier studio, but there's a lot of stuff in the later arcs that I think would look fantastic if animated properly, at least on a visual level. Also I think the kink factor hasn't gone away, and the author has a sharp mind for creative and exciting sexual scenarios to put the characters in, always a plus!I don't know if I would call it a complaint, but I'm a little disappointed in how it feels like over the years Kuroko seems to have softened a bit to where she doesn't really feel like a psychopathic mass murderer- there's bits of character development where you can tell Hinako and Chiyo are having a more positive influence on her, but in general it feels like she hasn't done anything genuinely heinous or awful since the Entertainer arc and that part of her personality has been left by the wayside. Also it seems like they forgot the entire plotline of the head homicide detective being low-key gay for Kuroko's handler, which is a shame because I thought that was really funny.
>>4577953>it feels like she hasn't done anything genuinely heinous or awful since the Entertainer arc and that part of her personality has been left by the wayside.I don't think it would have played well with how much Kuroko has been expanding her social circle. It's easier to play the no-fucks-given-results-at-any-cost with a sizeable serving of psychopathy with a lone wolf character, which is more of what she was in the begining when her circle was only Chiyo, Hinako and Rinko. But 28 volumes later she has accumulated so many orbiters like some sort of social katamari that I feel she'd have to become less psychopatic almost by force
>>4577953>>4577955In a way it's funny, Kuroko is not murdering and being a psychopath willy nilly anymore because she's afraid of what others might think of her, but because that would scare her new harem
>>4577955>>4577960I would probably say that it dovetails into my frustration with Kuroko as a character. It seems like she doesn't really have any aims or ambitions beyond wanting to fuck as many beautiful women as possible, which begs the question of why she's so interested in the mystery of cesare.
>>4578233>which begs the question of why she's so interested in the mystery of cesare.Like Captain Jack in Pirates she wants eternal life (to fuck bitches)
>>4578233>begs the questionRaises, not begs. Begging is a different thing.
