Mangaplus clearly wants to be less associated with Shonen Jump and appeal to different niches, but it feels like they went too hard on opposite directions so far, Toguchi series was a nothing burger which ended using the word friend and friendship like 15 times in the final chapter and now they are going in the opposite direction with drama with mature themes which may be a turnoff to the audience they currently have. I think they should try something similar to Ruri Dragon but openly yuri. Not sure why they just don't try a battle shonen but yuri.
