Last thread's fan translation additions: None
Last thread's mod additions: Fallout Shelter mods, Final Fantasy series section added (FFIV and FFVII mods), Pokemon B&W2 mod

-FO Shelter mod gives you the option to have same sex couples in your vault and influence the sex of all your occupants.
-The Pokemon mod swaps two datable characters (yes there was a dating side-quest in a Pokemon game). So Rosa can date Yancy. Gendered terms are adjusted.
-The FFIV romhack is weird, as it replaces the whole party from FFIV with various girls from the series. The main pair are replaced by Celes and Terra from FFVI and thus go through the romance from the vanilla game together. The game is pretty much the same aside from these random replacements.
-The FFVII mod is a female Cloud mod (called Skye). Like most female protag mods, the model, portrait and pronouns are changed, but the rewrites get a bit more extensive whenever gender is relevant to the plot (like the whole "dressing up as a girl" part now being about turning a tomboy into a cute girl)

Just keep in mind that the "yuri" game jam rules on itch are a horrible joke and the games can literally not contain any yuri. Not to mention all the tranny content. Be careful.
>>
>>4578193
The very first itch.io yuri jam I looked at was mostly tranny games. After seeing that they consider, no joke, "a VN about a trans girl sucking off her trans girlfriends penis", I never once bothered to look again.
>>
>>4578211
Leaving trannies aside, the rules even say there has to be no romance in the game. It doesn't even have to be about any kind of lesbian content, just the "female queer experience".
These itch game jams are kind of useless. Though there are legit yuri works among them.

Ecstatica, what could be considered one of the first ever video-games to feature a (selectable) lesbian protagonist getting the girl in the end... is getting a Steam release by SNEG, the studio that has been remastering dozens of old-school games and makes them playable on modern systems.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4834840/Ecstatica/
This is, without mockery, yuri history being revived.

That being said, does anybody know if Ecstatica II, the sequel that also gets a re-release has any yuri as well? I don't see any mention of a female protag option this time.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4834850/Ecstatica_II/
>>
>>4578404
Ecstatica II only has the male protag unless they change it in the re-release.
>>
>>4578450
Too bad.
Looking into it, the sequel is absurdly biogger than the first game with a boatload of unique animations and interactions, so I can see why the solo dev from the 90s dropped the selectable protag feature.
SNEG rarely ever really adds NEW stuff to the games they remaster/rerelease. Outside of highly rated and essential community patches that is. I doubt there was a modding scene for Ecstatica.
>>
>>4578404
i have very vague memories of this game as a kid, but never knew it had yuri in it.
>>
>>4578459
Well to be honest, if it wasnt for the two huge extra spheroids, the female protag doesnt look much different from the male one. And this isnt exactly a story heavy game. It's also fucking tough as nails! So getting to the yuri ending would not be easy, especially for a kid.

I started the Oblivion 2666 demo and it is the best looking yuri visual novel I've ever read. The cinematography, lighting, photography, transitions, incorporation of real life footage and overall presentation is unbelievable for an indie vn on Ren'Py. Very good prose too. I'm only 20 minutes in so I can't comment on the story yet.

>>
>>4578618
I mean you are wording this very badly, because you separate the yuri from the monsters. Should have just said monstergirls.

On the off-chance you seriously meant yuri between people who tame monsters...

There are also the Pokemon mods on the mod paste https://rentry.org/65zo3q8i#pokemon-series-modsromhacks
Digimon Cybersleuth is just subtext at best, but it is sort of fondly remembered for its lazy yuri implications (no you cant buy the first game solo on Steam, but its like 4 bucks for the bundle)

>>4578777
I fear they gonna fuck it up somehow with really retarded endings cases like before.
But hell I'm so pumped for it from what we saw so far.
>>
>>4578783
Eh. It's a game about the layers of hell, so I expect some bad endings if you lose to stage bosses or make some dumb choices. It doesn't fuck anything up to have bad endings in a game as long as there are also good ones.

But this is based on the Divine Comedy, so Dante's lover is by definition already dead. The resolution is basically just him moving on paradise to meet her again in the end. So that's probably the "best" ending.

It's very very rare for an early access game to be completed; there are cases of games still on early access after 15 years. It got so bad Steam added a "X years since the last time this game got updated" counter on their store page.

Anon's fears are 100% justified, and that's ignoring the early access concept's inherebt flaws.
>>
>>4578822
There is a huge difference between most EA failures and the plenty of EAs that just get finished normally. It's just as common for them to just flip the switch to calling it a finished product even if it isn't too.

But you are a moron for being this fucking limited. All you can see is EA and be a crying little bitch about it. Zero research, zero brain matter. Astral Shift has completed all their games before and they already funded the full game. This was done so they can adjust the game according to player feedback. File: Virgil needs more power.png (3.25 MB, 1920x1080)
3.25 MB PNG
First impressions after doing a couple of runs.
I had no idea this story takes place AFTER the Divine Comedy. Virgil already guided Dante to the gates of heaven to go to Eden, but she fell back down, got her memory burned away and now has to climb back up. That explains why everyone in Hell already knows Dante.

The Vampire Survivors gameplay is pretty decent. As usual, it only starts feeling good once you collect a lot of upgrades and skills.
From my experience (literally only playing HoloCure), the best upgrades usually are those that increase exp, buff your basic attack and life-steal. Leveling up is essential to get strong quickly, so you want the exp. You will always use your basic attack, so beefing it up is a no-brainer. And life-steal will keep you face-tanking when you are overrun.

As for Dante and Virgil... Virgil is clearly infatuated with her right off the bat. It is said that Dante and Virigil's relationship in the Divine Comedy was like soul-mates almost. Still though, there is clearly more going on what with all the poets gone and Virgil seems to hide something.

Beatrice is just your angel girlfriend shooting buffs at your from Paradiso. I assume there is some twist with her too, though I honestly don't understand how she factors in.
It is sort of implied Dante went back to hell for her love for Beatrice, but then why can Beatrice stay in heaven when she is openly gay too?
>>
>>4579073
Also Dante's super move is called "Dante's Inferno" and that's goofy as fuck.
>>
>>4579073
>but then why can Beatrice stay in heaven when she is openly gay too?
For that, we need to talk about the diferences between rezu and yuri.
>>
>>4579076
Considering that god is refered to in the loading screens as Her, I assume that this universe should be a bit more open to yuri.
>>
>>4579073
>why can Beatrice stay in heaven
Maybe Dante's love wavered at the last moment, or her eyes wandered (as Heaven is, presumably, full of hot girls), or her passport didn't match.
>>
>>4579093
In the opening scene where Dante explains how she got rejected by heaven and thrown down there is some french line at the start which she calls the reason for her "revolt". Unfortunately I do not speak frog, but I assume that it gives more context.
>>
>>4579075
I'd be insulted if it wasn't
>>
>>4579073
>Dante went back to hell for her love for Beatrice, but then why can Beatrice stay in heaven
I haven't played the game yet (or, frankly, read the whole poem, to my shame), but I assume the rules are different for living and dead people. IIRC, Dante is the only living person over there who just explores the realms in search of deeper universal knowledge and also Beatrice who by that point was already dead IRL. As a dead soul you can't really go between the realms outside of special circumstances, like Virgil having been assigned to guide Dante, or if your soul has been sufficiently purified in Purgatory to be allowed into Paradise. So Dante is like on a travel visa there, the passage between layers is unrestricted as Dante is just a temporary visitor.
>Dante and Virigil's relationship in the Divine Comedy was like soul-mates almost
The real life Dante also placed Virgil into the first circle of Hell, despite the admiration of the latter as a poet, so it's probably not all rosy and straightforward. Aeneid seems to be a pretty divisive work after all, what with all of the discussions on whether it really is blatant commissioned Roman Empire propaganda or shouldn't be taken at face value.
(disclaimer: I know fucking nothing, feel free to ignore or correct my ramblings)
>>
>>4579052
The real trick is that you don't. It'll be done when it's done.
>>
>>4579100
Virgil was placed in the first circle of Hell because he wasn't christian. It's literally for good people who wasn't christian. And it wasn't bad, just boring. Torments start from circle 2.

That said, most interesting would be the 7 circle of Hell for our board. In the original it was a circle of punishment violence. Homosexuals also belong here under the justification that it's a "violence against nature". Dante met his mentor?(don't remember exactly) there who was a good man aside from the fact he prefered boys. Wonder if it would be just ignored here.
>>
>>4579104
>1st circle is literally for good people who wasn't christian
Yes, Virgil even explains so in the game. She says the first circle they are in is for virtuous pagans. Aka, people who would qualify for heaven but aren't Christian. Apparently all the Poets you collect were in that circle before disappearing.
>7 circle of Hell for homosexuals
If homosexuality is normal in this world (female god, all female cast) they might skip that. If the poets are all lesbians, as they should be, it would be weird for them to not be in the 7th circle then.
>>
File: Italiano.png (687 KB, 980x543)
687 KB PNG
>>4579094
It's not frog, it's Italian (Dante is literally an Italian author).
"l'amor che move il sole l'altre stelle." roughly translates to "Love that moves the sun and all the stars".

So she's probably saying her guiding motivation in her quest and revolt is her love for Beatrice, more or less. Unless the twist is that the love in question is for someone or something else.
>>
>>4579104
>>4579105
In the Divine Comedy, Dante only saw male sodomites. He either took Leviticus 18:22, "man shall not lie with another man as he would with a woman", literally. Or he didn't know any historical lesbians (Sappho, your mom)
Maybe in this game the males are there. It'd be a fairly safe way of having them, as we know they'd all be gay.
>>
>>4579107
I don't want to interact with male characters though.
At least the circle of Lust is full of succubi (who really want Dante dead).
>>
>>4579108
From snu snu, hopefully.
>>
File: Donte.png (3.18 MB, 1920x1080)

I think there are many reasons to suspect that Beatrice might either not be who she says she is or actually the reason Dante got rejected from heaven. In the opening part she describes a white rose stabbing her with a thorn and in the image Beatrice is wearing a white dress that look like a rose.
Also Dante cries tears as if she was betrayed before she is "stripped of her peculiarity" (whatever that means).
Also when she falls back down to hell she says "Yet her voice called out to me" as if it was surprising that Beatrice would encourage her to come back.

Also Dante is legit dead now. She went to heaven and then got killed and thrown into hell. So that begs the question who would even kill someone in heaven or have the authority to do it...
>>
>>4579110
If Dante now dies before returning from the afterlife, then who wrote the Divine Comedy...?
>>
File: Oh shit.png (2.67 MB, 1920x1080)
2.67 MB PNG
Oh... that is some quite inconvenient lore dropped on us right now. Seems males do exist in the living world, but everyone who dies will be genderbend into a woman to match "Her likeness" (again, that mysterious goddess).
That makes it much muddier who is actually a woman whose soul was just forced to bend into a woman. I don't think they are implying Dante was a man though, because she was alive when she journyed up, so she was always an actual woman. And so is Beatrice. This might just be a way to handwave the fact that literally everyone in hell is female.

Imagine if Christianity was a cult about a goddess that says if you are a man you can fuck off from the afterlife. Would be hilarious.
>>

Such a useless lesbian... the moment she hears Horace yapping about how she and Virgil used to hang out every week at her villa for some "quality time", the seemingly amnesiac emotionless Dante immediately becomes curious and jealous.
And Virgil loves every second of that (while also being kinda tsundere about enjoying her time with Horace?).

Virgil not telling Dante about Beatrice and being so attached to her now seems to be even more obiously implying she has a thing for ol' Dante. Using Dante's amnesia to get a chance to win her over? A homewrecker?
>>
>>4579128
Uhm... then the poets wouldn't look different from each other. Also the quote literally spells out that "Her likeness" refers to being a woman.
>>
>>4579130
Yea but if it's the same as all men being made in the image of god yet we all look different. Then the same wording would be applied here
>>
>>4579112
>Trannyshit forced into yuri
Of course.
>>
>>4579112
>I don't think they are implying Dante was a man though
I think they are, it doesn't say that every human becomes a woman after dying, it says that any human 'in the afterlife' gains the appearance of a woman, so that would apply to Dante too as he ventures there.
Dante has a male name after all, and so do many of the relevant characters in the story, they probably tried to justify having only female-looking characters in a way they considered inoffensive, since of course westerners would lose their minds if a fictional world had no males.
>>
>>4579140
My bet is that they never actually show Dante's real body in the game, nor that of any other character that is male in the source material.
If asked they'll just say it's up to interpretation or some other evasive non-answer, in an attempt to cover all their bases.
You decide if that's good enough for you, I wasn't going to play it either way since I don't like the gameplay so this doesn't really affect me.
>>
>>4579140
You are just making shit up now. It directly refers to SOULS taking on female form. Dante was flesh and blood alive durong the Divine Comedy. The game literally says her body was destroyed.

You are just looking for shit to concernfag about now.

Is there any yuri in the Classic Sonic games?
>>

I knew they would think of something which would make me enjoy the game less not really knowing which girl is a man or not in such retarded way.
Oh well it was good as it lasted, I'm gonna set it to ignored on Steam to not get any reminders about it.
I knew that team can't be trusted with a possible yuri story.
I would much prefer for men to exist in hell too and MC actually choosing women than having it disguised like that.
>>
>>4579149
You arent fooling anyone. You're the same troll restating your prior post.
It was already explained to you that the actual romancd of the game (Dante/Beatrice) is non-ambiguous.

I regret posting about it now, because of course a bunch of retards will try their darndest to shitpost their way into twisting the facts.

>>
>>4579154
Dont bother with the trolls. They will do anything to push their tranny boogeyman wherever they can.
The game gives zero indication that any of the cast were ever male. Unless there is a brainwashing component to it where they think they were always women, but at that point it's literally irrelevant.

We know Dante, Beatrice and several of the demons were always female. Same for the goddess.
>>
To anyone who is still interested in Blue Reflection Second Light, I recommend getting it soon, because it will probably be delisted in favor of BR Quartet, which nobody here should support.

>It directly refers to SOULS taking on female form.

NTA, but if the body was destroyed, what of Dante is in the afterlife then, if not the soul?
>>
>>4579162
It was destroyed AFTER she reached heaven. And we have a literal cutscene of her before that happened. She was a woman before her body got immolated.
Sorry if this was somehow unclear, but then again I should expect someone arguing about a game to at least have seen the intro cutscene...

Was Dante already in the afterlife when shown for the first time, or did it happen on Earth?
>>
>>4579374
>she reached heaven in the cutscene
>waS iT on EaRth???
Dumbass. I wont repeat this stupid argument over and over. These are the FACTS:
1. The game states only SOULS change appearance in the afterlife.
2. Dante was alive when she went through the whole Divine Comedy stuff, had a real body etc.
3. She reached heaven, got rejected and killed.
4. NOW she is just a soul.

Any argument that she was secretly a guy is based on nothing but paranoia or concern trolling. It's almost the ultimate test: Is someone obssessed with tranny fantasies? If they see girls and all they can think about is that they must be men without any evidence... ding ding ding, you lost the fucking game.
Not a single line ever implies Dante, or even any of the poets, were male. Even if you change looks, you wouldn't suddenly start thinking you are a woman, yet everyone is 100% natural about it.

And even if everyone was genderbend for real, even if there is zero evidence for that, clearly this is not forbidden on /u/ considering we had goddamn Ranma and Oshimai threads on here (disgusting). So even if you tried to lie about it, you have no leverage.
>>
>>4579380
>1. The game states only SOULS change appearance in the afterlife.
>4. NOW she is just a soul.
So, if what is shown of Dante at the beginning is the original body, then the soul in the present should have changed appearance and look different; is that the case?
>>
>>4579381
...how? She was a woman to begin with so she can't change into a woman again. Am I talking to a toddler without object permanence?
>>
>>4579382
The game doesn't really make it about males though.
>In the afterlife, all human souls are granted her likeness.
Female humans being exempted from changing appearance is a pretty huge exception, I don't think the game would claim All humans go through something if it only applied to 50% of them, it's fair to expect that females change aspect too.
For example, are there any ugly or old looking women in the game? I would expect not, since "Her likeness" is presumably that of a pretty and young looking woman.
>>
>>4579383
Again, this argument requires you to have the reading comprehension of a grade schooler. I cannot fathom anybody misunderstanding an easy sentence like this in good faith. The audacity of bothering people with your autism on this level...
Read the words. Carefully. As if you didn't have a preconceived agenda you are working towards.
"I the afterlife, all human souls are granted Her likeness: that of a woman."
That of a woman. The second part is the result of the first part. It is an A -> B logical chain. It does not require the education you clearly never got to learn grammatical semantics I would think.
If the sentence intended for it to be a universal change towards looking the exact same as the goddess (which is disproven by having EYES), then the game would actually state so. Instead it literally just says people will become women, because the goddess is a woman.

That's the end of this topic.
>>
>>4579385
Again, if it was only about becoming female, it wouldn't make sense to claim it applied to "all humans", it would obviously only apply to men, so that's obviously not all that it entails.
>>
What level of autism is this?
>>
>>4579392

Oh mighty heavens, who cares, they are all cute girls, as far as this pseudo-Christian magic world is concerned. It's not reality, anything goes. Even TSF is just speculation and, seemingly, doesn't come up in the story at all outside of some random lore dump that's not directly linked to any of the characters, nor do they mention it ever.
>>
>>4579401
Yeah, you have to jump through hoops with no evidence to claim any of the characters are genderbend.
So either report or ignore the shitposters. Let's not encourage the moron to make this an LGTS schizo situation.

Well that was expected from all the boycotts. At least the people who actually played it liked it. I also dont think they had to fire people over it, considering they made a gajillion bucks from DE. Alright, I beat the first two layers of limbo and got the achievement for seeing all dialogue with the poets, is there any content left in Hell Maiden for now? Like boss refight dialogue and such? The gameplay is fine but I'd rather wait for an update with more layers I think.

Gameplay-wise the starting ability options seem wildly unbalanced, I tried Homer's bird just to test them all even though it read as terrible, and indeed it was terrible. The Spears seem by far the strongest on the other hand. You just need stuff that can AoE decently for your first skill. The temp boosts seem utterly pointless except the damage boost very early on. Boss fights are well-designed and fun for the most part, could use a little more visual clarity on occasion though.

It was also shorter than I expected in terms of dialogue/plot stuff, not gonna complain since it's EA though and I had fun. But it only took me 3.5 hours to beat, and I suck ass at Hades so you could probably cut an hour+ if you beat stuff first time. And I barely got started on the customary metaprogression stuff, so I guess that is most likely already designed for the full 9 circles. Interesting that you didn't seem to get noticeably more currency for it in layer 2 compared to layer 1.

Presentation in terms of art, VA, music etc is generally great as long as you can ignore some very american pronunciations. Good amount of flirting in what's there already. Hopefully that trend continues.
>>
I remember playing EA of BG3 and it had beginning act and I was mad that I had to wait years for it to finish when it got releaed, never again.
>>
>>4579724
true...
>>
>>4579723
It's like 2/9 levels and usually it gets progressively harder so you are more likely to grind more for stats, so the time will inflate later. Not to mention side modes and endless modes, which are pretty common in Vampire Survivors type games.

As for the balance, any build can be broken. You probably just didn't come up with anything invlolving Homer's blessing yet. I have seen videos where he bird basically becomes an AoE nuke. And with more incoming Poets and support cards, there might be new combinations.
I personally think Horace blades are incredibly good if you go fro many projectiles and the right buffs.
>>
>>4579724
>Mad that EA is not the completed game and that it takes as long to finish as they said it would
Hilarious how people like you have zero common sense, yet still act entitled.
>>
>>4579724
I got mad at release instead because the perfomance of the game dropped like crazy in comparison to earlier builds
>>
>>4579739
Sounds like a your computer sucks ass situation more than anything. But the difference between just a isoltated version of Act 1 and the full game is obviously gonna be huge.
>>
>>4579737
I died within like 2 minutes when the first ring with lava-trail slimes and homing heart-shooting succubus come after you, because I had no levels, because I had no kills, because the bird is completely useless. I basically had no opportunity to get any upgrades for the birt at all, and just about got the 2nd skill card at that point. I'd be at like twice the level with any other starting skill.
>>
>>4579747
Yes, very good, you learned that some weapons have a longer grinding curve than others. Luck also plays a part in what cards you roll.
It's really not hard to get kills with the bird.
>>
>>4579750
Works fine in layer 1 but don't you literally need a certain amount of strength gained to beat the first ring in layer 2 though since the homing hearts outspeed you by a LOT and you only have 2 dash charges? My bird run was 100-0 by dozens of homing hearts hitting me while my dash was on cooldown. Spear run just killed the succubi as they spawned pretty much, bird has no way to do this since the slimes are closer and it homes at them.
>>
>>4579738
Not really, that was just the first and last time I bought EA version of a game because I really wanted to play it.
I will never make that mistake again, in reality looking how typical reelases go, we should buy game at least 1 year AFTER they got released officialy.
I too waited for Hades full version to go from EA and wasn't disappointed.
>>
>>4579753
You can get permanent upgrades from the Abyss, so you wont be stuck with only 2 dashes and low damage forever.
>>
>>4579753
I'll note that current theory is that balancing in layer 2 might be a little off, and people who beat it seems to have grinded layer 1 more.
Because well, layer 2 is basically current endgame.
You'll want more speed and dashes though.
>>
>>4579746
I mean yeah, the game I already had bought ends up costing me extra 500 dollars in upgrades so I could properly play it.

But worth it, because it ended up being a really good game
>>
I liked what I played from Hell Maiden so far, all the characters are genuine awesome but they really need to add more meat to the game, it's get boring really fast.
>>
>>4578777
I've been rewatching this opening over and over for the last few days... It really makes me want to play the full game. I wanna see Dante with the one fallen angel wing get explained.
But other than that the OP seems to only really cover Limbo and Lust, just like the EA release. The only enemies shown are Queen Minos and the succubus duo.
>>

The game's issues were way, way, way, way deeper than just the lack of a style meter.
It's pretty telling that a Senran Kagura game has better responsiveness and feedback.

Not that it matters now given how the developer went bankrupt.

>>4580696
>Just some last minute flashback
The entire game revolves around the girl who's in love with you, anon. She and her love of the MC is the catalyst of everything that happens in the game.
It happened in the past but the game is about the Jennifers perception of those traumatic memories and giving closure to them so she can move on. Calling it a "flashback" is very disingenuous when the game is about exploring her past. Wendy was obsessed with Jennifer to the point she was jealous of her dog and killed it, then spiraled out of control until she convinced a mentally ill man to kill the other orphans.
Wendy also only thought she was a boy during their first meeting because the mentally ill man was using her as a stand-in for his deceased son. Wendy realizes she's a girl right after and they start their relationship and escape. Also only one of the girls (iirc) is heavily implied to be molested by one of the men there, but like a lot of the story, you have to piece it together yourself, the game itself never puts focus on it. Calling rule of rose "barely yuri" is like calling signalis barely yuri

Not a lot of big ones and not a lot of Japanese ones, but new indie or short-ish games drop weekly on Steam and Itch, and occasionally on DLsite too. Hella Yuri and Yulyrical and the likes track a lot of those. With the big ones, the whole eroge industry got fucked over by gacha money, so it is what it is.

If you include the toxic jam, that's half a thousand of new yuri games on that jam alone, though it's not everyone's thing (e.g. not mine, these days I long for something wholesome/healing, crazy how the toxic one gets 5x as many submissions as the original non-prefixed yuri jam).
>>
>>4581600
This looks awesome, but as it's a Chinese indie game I'm super worried about the translation. A good, non-MTL CN-EN or CN-JP translation is like a red list species. I know I should just learn CN but JP and some others are already taking up too much of my headspace.
>>
>>4581595
Ironically enough that's a really bad move for the game.
Fighting games are a right wing / Chud genre and they're inviting a massive boycott with that.
>>
>>4581617
Generally cautious of CN game translations too. But the trailer already had a bunch of English in it, which was decent.
>>
>>4581648
You ever see that image of all those people boycotting MW2, who are all actively playing the game? Yeah.
Boycotting might work for a small relatively unknown game, but it won't for anything big.
Actual real people don't give a shit, you spend too much time looking at idiots on the internet if you think so.
>>
>>4581648
They wouldn't care for two reasons. For one, the Avatar community already made their peace with characters like Korra and Kyoshi being gay. Anyone complaining about this would immediately out himself as a tourist and be shouted down.
For two, the 'chuds' as you call them don't actually care about gay representation, it's how it's done, and how the character that's doing it looks like. Nobody cared that Susie and Noelle are gay in Deltarune because there's more to their characters than that and they aren't hideous to look at.

Also, like >>4581653 said, don't pay attention to idiots on the internet.
>>
>>4581648
>fighting games are right wing
You are just a moron who hangs out with right wing zombies.
Fighting games have one of the most diverse communities of any genre. Tell a Street Fighter or Guilty Gear player at an FGC tournament that they are right wing chuds who hate black people and LGBT and get laughed out of the convention.

Fighting games also generally have hyper diverse casts, because you want distincr character. Fucking dumbass.
>>
>>4581615
They only get 5 times the submissions because there was a prize.
>>
>>4581648
FGC is not a chud central, no matter how many Smash players get outed as pedos or whatever. They're more likely to get burned by letting that one Skullgirls dude who got cancelled for allegedly being a creep work on it than any gay shit.
>>
>>4581655
You are also bullshitting just as bad. The Undertale/Deltarune community is overrun by hyper diverse Gen Z, that's why nobody cares about diverse representation. It's not a right winger brain damaged community.
>>
Why do we care what other communities, people, anons, boards or any other group think about a game? Is /u/ dependent on other opinions? Or does it have its own existence?
>>
>>4581661
We have a lot of /v/tards crossboarding here who believe their trash board is the center of the universe and represents gamers as a whole.

NTA but /v/ pretty much replaced Neogaf and Resetera as the center of the gaming industry, the one community gamers, developers and publishers kneel to.
Every game /v/ shitpost to death ending as a commercial failure and every game they like becoming successful is no coincidence.
Doesn't mean that fringe industry that doesn't answer to them doesn't exist (the games we talk about on these threads are proof of that) but pretending they don't rule over the industry is disingenuous.
>>
>>4581655
>Nobody cared that Susie and Noelle are gay in Deltarune
This is so absurdly untrue I don't even know where to begin. The Deltarune fandom has spent the last half decade trying to gaslight itself into thinking Susie wasn't romantically into Noelle, shipping them both with the MC and making Noelle cuck memes, and had a giant collective mental breakdown when chapter 5 confirmed that Susie was, indeed, gay for Noelle.
In fact the fandom is STILL melting down about it, the current meta is 'theorizing' that they'll either immediately break up in the next chapter or the MC will swoop in and land them both for a harem ending.
>>
>>4581665
lol, lmao even

>>4581662
>overwhelming backlash against anything LGBT

This is not a thing for most games. Some xitter babies crying about it doesnt concern the communities the same is actually for. And 90% of the time an insignifcant vocal minority shits their pants and achieves nothing.

Picked up a new EA hentai RPG that has a Yuri mode. https://outsiderartisan.miraheze.org/wiki/Yuri_Mode And fair warning, there are dicks on the steam page which is why I'm not putting the link up top.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4273250/Hex_Becoming_a_Succubus/
Have played up to the current EoC, took around 10 hours, so I do have a good idea of what exactly the Yuri mode is like.
The wiki page up top is basically correct, though I'll also note that so far there haven't been any nude males just popping up on screen without any action on your part. Though most actions that can lead to that are super obvious, there is one less obvious one which is if you use a temp gender change spell on a female, when they turn they also become naked, because no crossdressing sprites. And also there is a seasonal event where you go to the beach to play strip volleyball, which unlike prostituting, doesn't have the game auto-filter out males. So actually read who your opponent is.
I've also so far didn't see any males propositioning you, actually the random encounters from exploring the city seems to properly filter that, like when you meet women, your succubus powers work and you can sex them and stuff, but when you meet men it's more like they heard there was a mage, and they come to take a look or something.
Well, there is that one noble who makes it seem to the outside that they want to marry you, for political reasons, but all that happens is at the end they ask you once and that's it. You can't even say yes, though reading the quests on the wiki, it seems that you should be able to, and I'm not sure you can't because of Yuri mode, or because I messed up quest order.

I think there is feature parity with normal mode. Probably because I haven't played normal mode, but the stuff I see in the wiki, I can do that. Like pregnancy, which is the Asari style. Once you get the spell for it, you can get pregnant through any kind of sex, and then you give birth to a demon kin later. Which afaict are blobs of light with wings or horns or something depending on type. Then you slot them in as passive boosters...
Though I'll also note that Yuri mode isn't perfect currently, there are unsuitable stuff in the wording/descriptions atm. The following are things that have already been reported to the dev and he has promised to fix them, though from reading around, it seems that the game goes by 3 month patch cycles barring hot fixes which is probably for game breaking bugs, so they haven't actually been fixed yet. I'm including them so you can make an informed decision.
1. Something you'll notice in your lesbian sex, is that occasionally there are references to dick-sucking lips. Which iirc could come from either party.
2. The first time you take a bath, it references washing semen off your clothes, nevermind that your sprite is completely clean. This doesn't happen in subsequent baths.
Also side note, you probably don't want to mess with the filth meter in the wardrobe, because that's what filth is. The other one is the kiss marks you'll get if you keep having sex without bathing.
3. Later you'll meet Gemma and Lem (male), and after reaching the inn, you have an option to talk to Lem, like all of it is basically char building stuff, then the last text box is basically you looking over thinking of "comforting" him and licking your lips. Something the dev say he'll fix to respect your sexual preferences, but for now I think you can skip that branch without consequences. Or at least probably no relevant consequences.

2/3
>>
>>4581735
I'll note several things you should keep in mind, so far I noticed that things are properly color coded, men blue, women red. And then unique NPCs probably have their own color. Use that to judge what actions to take. That and men don't lactate, so if you get the spell, that's also an indication of who you're dealing with if you can use your succubus spells.
But from what I've seen, options aren't hidden, you don't have to worry about suddenly being thrown into a sex encounter or anything. And things are as they seem, so no traps or anything like that.
No rape, no defeat scenes, if you lose you just miraculously escape, so you don't have to worry about that. From what I've seen, you'll be the initiator for sex stuff 100% of the time.
Which semi-related, there is a male apothecary, blue words and all that, it's a hentai game, you get to choose to persuade him for a discount, do the math. Though you don't directly go to the sex and can back out, but you won't like what you're reading before that.

The combat is basically turn based first person RPG stuff, with a real time defense minigame to negate enemy attacks. And a tip, check configs, there are stuff in there.
Melee kinda sucks, until you get a better dagger. But in general you'll be relying on your magic. You can slot 2 magic schools of 3 spells each. There is a lot of interesting effects, but I've just been taking Sky Magic because that helps with MP regen. Otherwise you'll be chugging essence potions, and you need to buy flasks to collect those.
You also have succubus magic as a fixed 3rd school of sorts, which generally works to make enemies' have a chance to skip a turn. Or strip them naked. Which well, choose who you strip. There are advantages to doing that, though if you just deflect everything it might not matter.
>>
>>4581736
For the erotica, for the generic lesbian sex, you have 7 CGs+ variations which corresponds to the sex moves you can take. You start with 3, kissing, cunnilingus that is also the default CG and tribbing. Then you unlock foot worship, which has 2 CGs, giving and receiving, ass eating, though it's xray from the side along with groping.
Then there are solo ones, though Meila is always with you. But if you masturbate in the base, then you can also tease her as well.
Of the character unique CGs, there are only those with 2 of them. But it hasn't reached the sex portion yet, more like kissing and touching.

I find the story and worldbuilding fairly interesting, feels like succubi aside, this is the dev's other passion.
Here are some tidbits from the character background though. Meila, the mage who's body you are possessing, both have a girlfriend in the past, Gemma. And also has a high inquisitor (female) who really really likes her. Also she has never been with a man before, though that one is more typical. The GF part was surprising.
Iris, that's the default name of the MC, has also so far, canonically only been with a woman before the game. Well, demon currently possessing a female mage, I don't actually know how demons are, demon kin are genderless blobs of light after all. It doesn't say she hasn't been with anyone else, but the only confirmed instance of sex she has was with that woman. Also Iris basically took her virginity and then forgot all about her, then she needs to fight her later. She's the brown girl with big boobs I posted above.

Oh, and you can go on dates and stuff. It's nice, but definitely still early stages.

Yeah. Also I dunno if it's a bug or WAI, but your familiars automatically go into the throne realm, and persists across reloads. So while I was save scumming to see if I can get an S-rank, I went in there after failing at that to see a... stable full of demon kin. So that's kinda convenient.

The breastfeeding you do for them with Meila beside Iris is kinda nice... If only Iris didn't get pregnant from some random girl she hooked up with. That was a screenshot I considered posting, but decided against because of that. Though that also seems like a weird quibble considering after awhile you'll be spending a whole bunch of time working in a brothel. The money's good.

I was the one who made the original post about being a bit disappointed in the lack of big yuri drops and I'm not sure what you want me to refute. On the news post there are 2 games that aren't vns or farming sims, 4 technically if you count lesbian uno and a point/click game. Even the upcoming ones are mostly vns and a farming sim. On hella yuri there's an overwhelming amount of games that are either vns or farming sims. I respect anyone who makes yuri content but I feel slightly disappointed because while we're seeing new and original animes with yuri and we're getting at least one yuri adaptation per season, it feels like that's barely reflected in games lately.
But if you're referring to the idea that I replied to myself like 6 times that's retarded, I'm not schizo enough for that
>>
Hell Maiden already got 1k reviews in a week, that's 2/3rds as much as LGTS in 2.5 years. Seems likely it's a success. However as with all indie EA games I'm worried that the sales are hugely frontloaded and when they turn into more of a dripfeed they will lose motivation to keep producing content for the EA.

I would also say that the quality of what's in the game is good but the amount of stuff in the game feels very low for me even for EA. So I'm worried about pace of development for future content too.

I may not check the thread every day but I check hella yuri pretty much every day and maybe you got something they dont

NTA, but Hell Maiden or Magical Princess. No question asked. Go buy it and post some gaymeplay. Also no broadening the specifics because that's all you wanted so that's all you get.
>>
>>4582290
I've got magical princess but that came out nearly 3 months ago, I've held off on getting hell maiden just because I'm not a huge deck building fan unfortunately. I've heard it's good though. Is the yuri in it good enough to make the genre irrelevant?

Good Girl.

So is recently in your mind like this month or what timeframe we talking about? Wait, no. This should be considered broadening the specifics! You nearly got me there. This year is "recently". Can we agree on that?

>Is the yuri in it good enough to make the genre irrelevant?
I'm not a huge fan of deck building myself even though I have some rather similar games but imho the yuri makes the genre relevant. The cards and their mechanics are awesome. And it's addicting for it. At least for me. So get your fill.
>>
>>4582312
Hmm I mean I guess 3 months is kinda recent but I was thinking more within the last month or so personally. Maybe I'll try hell maiden this weekend, I wasn't exactly a huge fan of rogue lites either but I liked hades 2 a lot so maybe it'll change me
>>
>>4582311
>I'm not a huge deck building fan
It's a survivor like primarily, not a deck builder.
As long as you understand more projectile = more good, you'll be fine.
>>
>>4582374
Okay then it might be kinda fun. Idk I just saw deck building and I was kinda put off
>>
>>4582378
They use cards. But it's basically in 2 ways. The first is you get your weapons, then you attach passives to them, that's pretty typical.
The second more deck building part, if you can call it that, is that some of the passives you attach, either affects every weapon as well, or they affect weapons say all on the left, all on the right, or on both sides. It's has more in common with something like backpack battles than deck building, though drastically simpler.
>>

>Mostly Hades
>It's a survivor like primarily
hmmmmmm
>>
>>4582440
Well, you can aim your weapons, though I don't really know how much that helps, or you can set auto aim.
And you have a dash that the OGs don't have.
But I still say it leans way more towards it's survivor DNA.
For the record, I've played a bunch of survivor likes, but only seen Hades gameplay.
>>
>>4582421
I want to play as the mom next in one of these
>>
>>4582525
Speaking of which, I only played Magical, but I always found it funny while you are supposedly playing as the father, most of the time it really feels like you're playing as the daughter instead.
I mean, no way you are telling your daughter to go out and rob people, right? Though more seriously, the wording in the game definitely supports that she's the one going out and doing the things on her on initiative.
>>
>>4582527

Posting info from unfinished game without spoilers is quite passe to people who prefer to wait to play when it's gonna release whole.

It wasnt normal back then either. This is one of the few games that was rated adult only back then, which means it wasnt sold in stores. At a time where selling games online was not common or easy. Hence why it was a commerical failure. Shame, becusse this was a women led study doing super innovative stuff.

Fun fact, the director herself (who has a degree in IT) is playing Riana Rouge. So this was all probably just an excuse for her to make out with a hot lady.
>>
When I posted about the Fatal.Frane 2 remake not having yuri my posts got deleted because they didn't use spoilers.
I thought using spoilers for plot points on any game beyond the starting hour was the norm, but it seems I'm wrong.
>>
>>4582825
I think it depends.

I would be very fucking annoyed in general if someone spoiled major twists or developments, even if it's reporting that a new game has no yuri that I wont be playing anytime soon, if ever. Someone spoiled a certain early twist from a....let's just say quite well known game from recent times and it's literally made me not wanna touch it (and the fact that it refuses to be on sale)

But if it's simply confirming a game has yuri then I'm kind fine with it? It may also be because 95% of the shit that gets posted here is VN stuff I dont care about.

>>4583215
>Your fellow anon wants to silence you

"I will be transparent as I always am, I have no proof yet that this game will feature yuri romance. However considering this is very clearly inspired by all the recent Princess Maker type games and especially Volcano Princess and prominently features female companions that the page says "your daughter forms strong bonds with" I am inclined to believe it will.

This is a daughter raising sim that leans more towards the Wuxia brainrot, kinda like what Moon Princess will be doing. The production value on this is clearly extremely high though.

Daughter raising sims are going through a rennaissance right now and most of them are very yuri friendly, so that's wonderful. And at least for now we have a decent split between Western inspired fantasy and Eastern fantasy on them."

"So this is something I just discovered from one of my favorite obscure game Youtubers (not an obscure youtuber). A game called Riana Rouge from 1997. It's a... how should I even explain it? It's a Myst type 3D game, but with FMV scenes of real actors. Kinda like Phantasmagoria and the like. Basically a point and click adventure.

This game is relevant, because despite being a wacky trip with like zero coherence, Riana gets romantically involved with a lady named Javelin from the isekai she is pulled into. The goal for most of the game is to save her. There is also a several minutes long lesbian sex scene between them towards the end.

Allegedly the game is about female empowerment and Riana is a bislut, but there is like one scene where she can seduce a guy and it is nowhere as long or explicit as the lesbian sex scene and also ends with her tricking the dude, but it's entirely avoidable.

I don't think this is worth PLAYING, but if you really want to you can download it on Myabandonware. You will probably need to use a Win98 emulator for it work properly. Virtual Machine for example.
https://www.myabandonware.com/game/riana-rouge-iur
If you just want to get an impression of this historic fever dream, I recommend watching EarlyBird's video on it. She's the reason I know about it. (I love how she called the save file before the makeout session "incomingyuri")

At this point my opinions are divided on Chinese games. On one hand their character models for women are much more appealing than the western counterparts. On the other hand you have to pray to the heavens that there is something substantial. Still the Wuxia genre is also an exotic blindspot and paired with the daughter sim is an instant buy. Another daughter to raise is just chefskiss. Also missed chance to call "Magical Princess" the "Bread Princess". Maybe we get "Magical Princess 2: The Glutenous Queen" in the future? And after Moon Princess we get a Sun Princess. Gonna marry'em them off™(WIP).
>>
>>4583277
Can you contain the weeb inside for just one post? Sheesh. There are plenty of good artstlyes in western games. Hell Maiden is literally a western made game and looks better than most Japanese games, despite imitating them.
Wuxia is brainrot and has zero value, so that's more of a detriment for Moon and Fairy Princess. It's the equivalent of really bad and overly tropey isekai in Japanese media. If you have seen one you have seen them all.

We will see how Fairy sets itself apart. For now it seems to have a more female leaning cast lile Magical and much higher production values than Volcano. There are also some features ai haven't seen before.

Still that's 3 high profile daughter raising sims in one year. And the actual Princees Maker sequel is alwo currently in EA and has been saved by another studio so maybe that comes out this year too. There was also Space Princess Zorana which is sort of in the same vein and came out this year. It's a lot rougher than the rest though.

>the actual Princess Maker sequel
It's currently on version 0.9.8 and seems to have all the core content already in, including all the love interests. It's probably the least yuri-focused out of raising sims, as one of the major endings all min-maxers strive for forces your daughter to marry a dude while the girls are on the bottom half of popularity, looking at the achievement percentages. Still, it's better than nothing.

It's interesting how those Persona mods prove Atlus right about not making female / gay / female gay protagonists:

The game that shows in the trailer how they kiss to revive each other...?
And if you are going to be this wishy-washy I will remine you I talked about long term narratives, not games witj obvious yuri mechanics or settings. If the dec doesnt say its a yuri game or alludes to romance it is very hard to tell if a 100 hour RPG will have yuri in the emd. No demo of the tutorial level will help.
Like that shitty new SAO game. For all we know it could have some romantic angle between the female self-insert and some female party members. But fuck finding out in the demo... or ever, as nobody wants to play that.

While all the named characters are female (the male ones are background faceless grunts and scientists) the demo doesn't give lesbian vibes at all. It's more like a science fiction horror anime of the edgy type so I wouldn't expect anything from it.

To be fair I haven't finished the demo yet but I seriously doubt something will happen; this one seems to be very exploration-focused, as expected as something inspired by the Backrooms.
>>
>>4584500
>The game that shows in the trailer how they kiss to revive each other...?
yes, because girls kissing has never been used as fanservice in het games before
>wishy-washy
don't call it wishy washy just because youre illiterate
>No demo of the tutorial level will help.
wtf? it definitely can. If a girl starts talking about her boyfriend or something you can easily rule it out of being yuri.
if a girl starts talking about her girlfriend, you can cautiously rule it in favor of yuri.
and by your own logic, magical thief silky showing off kissing in the trailer is 100% an indicator of being yuri to you; but if that was excluded from the trailer and you only saw them pulling off the revive in the demo, it suddenly wouldn't count as proof to you?
>i will remind you i talked about long narratives
every game is a long narrative, I dont know why you're exclusively using 100 hour epic JRPGs as your example as if those are the only types of games to get demos. you don't always need to play through 80% of a game to have a basic idea of how things are going to play out
>if the desc doesn't say its a yuri game
Japs like being vague about it for some reason

i don't know why you're being stubborn and ignoring the basic concept of more information = better insight. It's no different than watching an anime trailer to find out if its yuri, or reading a manga while it's still on-going.
you even said earlier "you can hardly tell from a demo most of the time", meaning there are times when you can tell.

SAO is dogshit and im not playing it though, you're right about that much

I'm surprised so many of you aren't already aware that franchises like SAO or Persona or mainstream games published by Bandai Namco like Code Vein will NEVER have yuri because those are mainstream anime franchises aimed at mainstream anime audiences, which are heterosexual, harem media consuming males.

Where the yuri games come from? independent developers and non-mainstream small publishers. Never from Atlus or Bamco.
>>
>>4584506
Now you are just intentionally acting retarded because you get embarrased about how bad your kneejerk defenive stance was...
>every game is a long narrative
Fucking nonsense. There are plenty of games that dont last 10 hours or are just gameplay with almost no story.
You are quite stupid, so let me spell it out again. Yes, Magic Thief Silky, a Megaman clone that will be under 8 hours long, would be easily dismissable if it didnt have in your face yuri, because if it has yuri it would be hard pressed hiding it with its limited content. And it has no reason to. As compared to a fucking 100 hour narrative intense game that may not want to spoil its late game relationship pay off in the fucking tutorial.

Your entire shitty argument is about 1% of games where you cant tell from trailers/screenshots/dev comments, but somehow can from the demo. An exceedingly rare thing that I literally acknowledged from the start. Your entire contrarian word soup is nothing but pedantic spitballing.

Safe to say, a game that reveals in its female fucking demo that the protag has a girlfriend is almost certainly gonna mention it in the game page or promotiol material. So go and play your shitty demos that dont actually give you any info about whether it has yuri that you couldnt get without it. As long as its you wasting your time.

>So far I'm liking this demo. It's pretty much a low budget PS2 era action game but that's not a bad thing.

That's the feeling I got from it too. It feels like a late PS2/PS3 TPS.
The demo was enjoyable even if I'm not really overly sold on the importance of the parry, which is really showcased by the first real boss.

I do wish some animation were aa bit better though, like crawling and the absence of door opening animations. Giving there is a focus on guns and gun customisation it's kinda bothering me that there is no difference in reload whether there is a bullet chambered or not.

>the demo doesn't give lesbian vibes at all. It's more like a science fiction horror anime of the edgy type so I wouldn't expect anything from it.

Dunno if it's yuri or not based on the demo itself, but the gameplay is serviceable enough if it ends up leaning that way. I don't know if I was meant to beat the boss first try or not, but I did, and then it booted me back to the main menu so I guess I did something right? I played the Hell Maiden demo too when it was out and the boss there was significantly harder.

>uelike
Didn't we tell you to not play it at all when it's just EA version?
Just wait for finished product like most sane people.
I checked it for short moment if I'm gonna like the gameplay and then simply unistalled it where it was acceptable and now real waiting begins which I hope won't be as long as it was for Hades 2 or BG3 since this looks to be quite simpler game.
>>
>>4584737
The thing with Roguelites is that a run can sometimes be super lucky or super scuffed. So if all the stars align you can beat a run that is supposed to be hard on your first try.
Also there is a pretty big difference between the main genre. Action or TBS will have very different requirements. Even a suboptimal build in Hell Maiden can often be balanced out by a good reactive player. In a card battler you sometimes just draw crap that you cant play around. So I feel like action roguelites are actually more skill based when it comes to difficulty. The rest tend to be more intelligence based, because it's about number crunching, but even that only takes you so far.
>>
>>4584737
If you were completely drunk, would it have taken you less time or more time?
>>
Starsand Island just hit 1.0 and left EA. I did not expect that to happen so fast. Might be a little rushed.
>>
>>4584840
Sorry I meant the Dev Build hit 1.0. It will leave EA in two weeks.
>>
On the opposite end, The Witch's Bakery has been delayed to mid October. They dont want to crunch too much because its bad for their health. Understandable.

The new trailer showed off some cool new other world stuff. Before it looked just like puzzle and exploration, but this new train area look straight from a horror game. Neat.
>>
Oh amd Moon Princess release date changed from 2026 to 2027.... As they dont do update posts I dont really know the reason. But I assume the project is a bit too big for 2 people to do in this short amount of time.
>>
>>4584844
They might've been too focused on Volcano's mobile port. Global released a few days ago.
>Full Japanese voice acting added & re-translated
>New original stories & CGs added
>New dungeons and outfits introduced
>On Steam, a free update will be released later

I did yeah, even ended up with a fun build once where I was throwing the rolling lava out constantly in every direction after getting more projectile cards a few times.
Overall it's a solid game and pretty fun but It doesn't have much content right now. I hope that changes in the near future and it doesn't take them like 2 years to add another area of hell....

Hell yeah! I fucking love Egghatcher for this.

Holy shit how has nobody posted these until now? Volcano Princess had a full anime opening movie now.

Maybe this says a lot about my 3 year long obssession with this game, but I immediately knee this is new art, because I know literally all of Nina's events by heart.

Winter season, Age 17. It's Nina having a premonition about the true ending where Rose will be involved in the fight with the Owl Princess, so she is saying her name in worry here and you for some reason named your daughter "Yuri",

I don't know what you mean. It's a totally normal name and her mother favoured it. But I kneel to your obsession. Impressive.

The first instinct would be to post the wedding CG, but that's a trap. This reaction to Rose inviting Nina to the last school dance is the best Nina CG. The sheer confidence as she accepts Rose's hand in dance is the true essence of Nina.

Full version of "Not My Paradiso" just dropped on Mili's channel. The Hell Maiden opening theme. This time with actual lyrics so we can understand it.

I think you can garner a lot from the lyrics honestly. This feels like a long spiteful rant by a sinner against god. The whole theme is that paradiso and hell shouldnt exist, becauye hand picking people for god's little trophy case based on arbitrary traits is not love.
It's interesting, because the song is clearly implied to be from Dante's perspectice, so you would think she is singing to Beatrice. But its also the poets vs. god and all the layers between.

Bte, it's funny how Mili made an entirely original yuri art for the song instead of just using Hell Maiden promotiom art. O really wanna watch whatever anime she invented in her head between that high school girl and the angel.

I should replay Volcano Princess. Don't remember much about it anymore. The only thing I remember is getting an ending where my daughter beat the shit out of Lesba for some reason.

The final lyrics seem to be from the perspectice of "god" or whoever, as they perfectly mirror Dante's but she seems to be conpletely deaf to the complaints. She still waits in paradise....

So? Does it confirm the game is yuri?
>>
>>4585387
>>4585486
If he's talking about the video posted to the "indie games hub" channel a day or two ago, it's the same trailer that was posted in April on the devs own channel. So it's not new.
>>
>>4585486
the dev already revealed the MC had a girlfriend on xitter and showed her off.
people just think it's not yuri because the dev made a cringe trans rights post in the steam forums which they deleted.
>>
>>4585493
I wish people here stopped hyping non-yuri games. Bumping the thread for nothing is a waste.
>>
>>4585495
>bumping the thread
Yo crossie, have you checked the page this thread is on and what the bump limit on /u/ is? Because I think you got lost. Nobody's bumping anything.
But then again, you are the shitposter always going on about "hyping" things when people are asking basic questions, so it's not like you got enough brain matter to figure it out on your own.
>>
>>4585494
So?
I'm pretty sure the Halo franchise has female characters who are gay; that doesn't mean we can discuss the franchise here.
So unless the girlfriend and the romance are heavily featured on the game on-screen there is no reason to keep shilling that game (it doesn't even have a release date yet!) in this thread
>>
>>4585497
The girlfriend is literally playable you oaf. Which you probably would have known if you did read the news people posted about it instead of getting really upset.
Obviously caution is good, I personally don't have high hopes for that game, but your "callouts" are just hot air.
>>
>>4585498
>The girlfriend is literally playable
Which is meaningless if their romance isn't depicted inside the narrative. I'm pretty you wouldn't praise (or even care) about LGTS if it didn't have the dates and interactions betwen Elise and the girls and only focused on the main plot.
Also, there's the possibility of the MC being transgender given the deleted Steam post.
>>
For those who care: Detained Too Good for School will have four romanceable characters instead of the eight it promised, but only two of those are women; at least it kept the 50/50 rather than going full het.
The game still has no release date and given the devlogs it won't be released this year.
>>
>>4585500
>there's the possibility of the MC being transgender!!!!
See? Should have just admitted from the start that this is the only thing you care about and spared us the empty rhetoric you never use on other games. If you're afraid that this game will feature a tranny with no evidence proving it either way, that is your choice. I get that you are upset that people are still cautiously optimistic regardless, but the best solution is to just shut the fuck up about it until you got proof and then we can report anyone who posts the tranny game. Alright?

Moving on.
>>
>>4585502
So they changed their minds and put romance back in? They literally got rid of it before. Guess people were pushing back too hard.
>>
>>4585502
Hopefully the other two girls are added later.
>>
>>4585495
>>4585497

>just because its yuri doesn't make it yuri
least obvious shitposter.

stop acting like you own the thread and making arbitrary checklists for what is required for a game to be yuri (which you change every other post)
>>
>>4585504
In one of their devlogs they revealed that their publisher forced them to. That it was an obligatory launch feature according to them.

>>4585505
Well, the game needs to be released first.
>>
>>4585503
>we can report anyone who posts the tranny game. Alright?
Are transgender women even against the board rules?
>>
>>4585511
>images must not contain men
>>
>>4585509
That's hilarious. A publisher actually doing something good for once? Except people being forced to add features they don't want usually half-ass them.

>>4585511
Yes. Anything with a dick is. Fucking newfags, I swear....
>>
>>4585513
But she identifies as woman, which exploits a massive loophole. The rule should be rewritten to something like

>images must not contain biologically-born men
>>
>>4585514
Funnily enough they ruined the combat system (they revamped it entirely into something extremely rigid; basically a way shittier Streets of Rage 4) and many fans are super angry about it.
The publisher didn't give a shit about that because they know where the money is.
>>
>>4585515
No. The definition of woman is clear on /u/. Biological women only. It doesn't need to be clarified. Trannies and futas have never been accepted here and nobody is confused about it. You're just shitposting now.

>>4585517
My mistake; I think I was confusing /u/ with Dynasty Reader

Finally got around to playing the demo too.
It's about what i expected from a low budget RE style game mixed with stalker/urasekai picnic, which isn't a bad thing, in fact i quite liked it and will probably buy it.
There's weapon/outfit upgrades and a skill tree system.
I dont think the parry is that big of an issue though, it and all other anomaly abilities cost resources to perform so you cant abuse it, and i didn't even bother using them after the tutorial. The enemy attacks were all easy enough to avoid without it. It's not that different than the parry (they call it a dodge, buts it acts as a parry) in the original resident evil 3.

Most of the cutscenes in the game are done in a codec style (not sure what else to call it) like RE4, which is handled fine, even if it feels a little cheap. I think the samurai maiden comparison is a little harsh, the VN segments in that game were really obnoxious with constant gasps and the characters doing over exaggerated poses at the start of every sentence.

The game is a bit jank though. enemies get stuck in doorways quite easily.
The game also keeps going back and forth between survival and action horror. There's areass where the enemies are unaware of your presence and it feels like the game wants you to crouch past them, and the girl will even quip when one spots her, but the stealth isnt reliable and its better to just alert them and dash by since their attacks are rather slow. However the game also likes to trap you in a room without warning and spawn in a bunch of enemies too, and there's even an RE4 stagger finisher mechanic.

All the named characters are female, the girl in the flashback that she's looking for is also a female, and i can see her bonding with her new rookie partner. Doubt it will be anything explicit but its plenty goggleable so far and i've seen people here hype up a game for less. At the very least it is het-free
>>
>>4585548
>>4584483
actually upon replaying and messing around with the mechanics more, it's really easy to generate back the meter that's used for your anomaly abilities. They made it seem like it was a valuable resource, even talked about trading health for more meter, but shoot a few bullets into an enemy and its already half filled. The parry window is too generous too, and the enemy even flashes yellow for a second too. Might be more of a problem than i thought, hope they address, then again i was playing on normal.

Not sure i get the complaint that the claw attack is awkward though, you press the button and she steps forward and takes a swipe. pretty straight forward attack finisher with high damage that kills most smaller mobs in a single hit, and it can be upgraded in the skill tree which they didnt show off in the demo.
Don't know where you're coming from with the code vein comparison, if you're referring to the charged drain attacks in CV, they're completely different in function and each weapon had its own version that fulfilled different roles. The parries were better in that game though, the mantles each having different parry timings was neat and the enemies didn't flash to help you time it.
>>
>>4585494
I think people should just keep their expectation in check and wait and see.

I would be fucking thrilled if the game is confirmed to be safe. It has a lot of what I want out of these kinds of games.

Also, I just remembered this shit was announced in 2024.....when is it even gonna come out at this rate, 2027 probably?
>>
>>4585548
>>4585567
Nobody cares "hype" anon. "Has all female cast" isn't enough for this off-topic wall of text.

Shut up wanna be mod, you're consistently the most annoying person in these threads.
>>
>>4585708
You don't even know who I am. 120% chance of you thinking I am several other people who posted similar things.
What's really annoying is this idiot who keeps talking about how /u/ "hypes up" non-yuri games only to then walltext post about a game with no confirmed yuri as if it was normal.

We're almost at page 10, so new thread
