Classic only had 10% of lvl 10s make it to lvl 60. What does this say about WoW (being a themepark)? Sandbox is the only reasonable way to keep players happy. That ten percent making level 60 was the whole point. The journey crushed you with corpse runs ganks world bosses and slow gold farms that built legends on every server. Hardcore nailed it for me. Every fight every level feels like victory because death ends it all. Endgame is just bonus. Retail boils everything down to that weak ass sugar water chase. Classics pure adventure where the road is the real win. God it ruled.
