No studio wants to attempt that and at best you have Obsidian with janky AA-scale stuff like Avowed that's just shitty nostalgia bait with trailers using "WE MADE NEW VEGAS (they didn't)" slogans.Looking at Starfield it feels like not even Bethesda themselves are capable anymore of making another TES game, and they have an engine specifically for it they have been refusing to let go for decades now.I don't think even Rockstar, if they tried with their insane budgets, could make a proper RPG with actual freedom. Seriously, i don't recall any other open world game like that where you can play multiple classes, from warrior, to mage to thief with mechanics supplementing all of that, can join multiple factions, explore entire country with cities, villages etc. It probably just cannot be done anymore, which is why it's been so long since we got a new TES game.
