A new trailer just released https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5RyVR_YaRE
>>729474763>>729475018Any time these games that release in chapters come around and people really see the "soul" in them, they always end up like shit.In reality the devs have maybe one idea and then just wing it. They throw down a dozen or so mystery boxes to get people interested. Things like character identities, designs, motives, all things that are very easy to hype up without actually having anything to present. But once it's nearly over, they usually have to scramble to answer as many mystery boxes as they possibly can, with often contradictory or terrible results. It happened to every single one of these games, without fail. It happened to Bendy when Chapter 5 release, to Fnaf when Scott turned it over to Steel Wool, you can see it happening right now to Poppy Playtime as they scramble to fill in the holes in their story and actually design the main big bad after keeping him hidden for so long. This game is no different, they just threw out a bunch of mystery boxes without any plan then gave you an actual fucking quiz that you could fill out right there, so you could write the game for them. It'll only bite them in the ass since it's clear they have no direction or core beats they need to hit since they're making it all up on the fly.

>>729475914more like the lock on system shits itself whenever you’re fighting any amount of enemies greater than one
two things about this gameThere is a lot of build autism and you can almost immediately make a truly broken as shit character and get weapons / items including tinky winky little rings and such that hype your character up andfor chapters 1 and 3 you can literally skip the entire story, just say fuck everything and move on Now, what hurt this game is that they shilled it, none of the ((influencers)) who talked about it were honest and admitted they were paid, so that hurts the games reputation and it would had been better if they didn't do that. A lesson to be learned really.
>>729475842Explain, in your own words, how it could possibly be worse than Bethesda's combat "system"
The reaction to the character of Blonde Blazer is a fantastic insight into how damaged society is desu. Explains why 60% of Gen Z men have never asked a girl out, and just over 70% have never had intercourse. Back in the 60s or 80s she’d have been seen as boring, predictable, the safe “good girl” trope guys tolerated but didn’t crave. An ideal on paper, maybe, but lacking fire, edge, or real passion. Back when men weren’t scared of intensity, when they could handle a woman with depth, chaos, and unfiltered desire. These blazerfags don’t want a real woman—they want a mommy. Someone to gently guide them, validate their feelings, and shield them from anything challenging or uncomfortable. Blonde Blazer is their fantasy: soft, nurturing, endlessly patient, never pushing them out of their comfort zone.I really see people saying there’s zero chemistry between her and Robert… Like, I’m just lost at that point. These people are beyond saving. The real chemistry explodes with Invisigal—the raw tension, the push-pull, the late-night confrontations and obsessive longing. Anyone who says there’s no spark there is clearly someone who’s never had a moment like that with a woman. The kind where emotions run hot, boundaries blur, and every interaction feels dangerously alive. So many damaged men that never grew up properly and can’t relate to the thrill of complicated intimacy and human connection like that because they’ve only chased safe, surface-level stuff—or never chased at all.Broken boys. Broken boys everywhere. Even in fiction, they can’t trust and connect with a magnetic, flawed girl like Invisigal. It’s sad. Their comfort zone is blandness. They pull back into their shell of polite distance, emotional repression, and passive avoidance. And Blonde Blazer supplies that. It’s what’s familiar to them—sterile, low-risk, no real stakes, just mommy’s warm embrace. It’s very deeply saddening.

>>729472610Used to be pretty damn good, now they just kind of suck. Well see if megaman pulls them back from the brink.
I really liked Megaman 2 and 3 as a child. They produced of some excellent arcades games through from the mid 80s through SF3 3rd. However, I don't play fighting games anymore. The Resident Evil series has always been trash. I never cared about Monster Hunter. >>729473781This mostly aligns with my sentiment. Are there any games that have... unsettled you?
>>729473665Imagine growing up with such good graphics that low poly characters are unsettling and disturbing.
>>729474975I kind of get it. I didn't grow up with an N64, but one game that I always found unsettling was Spyro The Dragon. There's just something so off about the world. It feels so empty and anything that moves simply wants to kill you. The only friendly encounters you find are dragons you free from statues and then they are gone. You never interact with them outside of a cutscene and the only thing you can do with them after is replay their cutscene. The world can be comfy and cozy as well with the dream-like aesthetic and atmosphere. I think scary is the wrong word to use. I'd say early 3D games can often feel unsettling or liminal.

Still maintains high fps on most slaughter maps except meme ones so don't worry

>>729445587Grabbed Tomb Raider I-VI, been a minute since I've played TR and the discount seemed like a good deal since it meant getting 3 of the 6 games for basically free given the price. Very fun games still, I get the gripes people have with the tank controls but I think the acrobatics you can pull off with them can be great to play around with. Contemplating Mario+Rabbids 2, I've been holding off on it since I'm waiting to see it on sale physical, but the Gold edition for like 10 bucks does really seem like a steal, and I did like 1 a lot, maybe I should just take the plunge already...
