I'm sort of blind in one eye. I was born with alternating exotropia and over time have lost the ability for binocular vision. There's a muscle or mechanism that lets me switch which eye I'm using but I can't use both at the same time. One-on, one-off sort of situation, but I can change at will.3D doesn't work for me unless it's headtracking-based or through parallax. VR 3D somewhat works for me because your head is constantly in motion however slight, but something like the 3DS does nothing for me.My optometrist, as part of routine testing, will show me one of those magic eye puzzle things and it amuses me that people look at what looks like gibberish to me and will say "it's a dolphin" or "that's a bear".My nickname in school by bullies was "the chameleon" because my "off" eye would become walleyed. I've had cosmetic ocular muscle surgery to correct how it looks but there's no treatment to give me binocular vision.
