It's the same as Assassins Creed or Frontiers of Pandora or any other Ubisoft game with a Star Wars coat of paint though that coat of paint is quite good. The story is decent, the characters and VA are good, the graphics and lighting are great, the audio design is nice. If you can tolerate derivative gameplay then you might enjoy exploring the Star Wars galaxy. Would get it for $20 or less or pirate it.

Like you can pick up 50 villagers, who are currently chilling in their houses as reinforcement without moving the camera. That was a genius system and never adopted by any other RTS. With that UI you can just select all units from a ledger and never select them in the game world.

A lot of the game is kind of a slog, but it adds to the overall experience when you look back and see how far you've come, how much the story/plot has unfolded, and how much bullshit you've dealt with to get there. It's intentionally trying to not be a fun road trip adventure, and is hammering in themes of suffering and lack of control spanning generations, with the payoff being self-actualization and with it the power to seize your own destiny. It's worth it in the long run, but I can see a lot of people bouncing off of it because it has a ton of "that part"s.
