I don’t mind stuff like Until Dawn because it’s honest about what it is. It’s in the same boat as like a VN but obviously on a whole different level. Experiencing an actual interactive movie is pretty entertaining. Nothing wrong with that if that’s what you’re advertising from the get go.It’s much more honest than shit like Order 1886 that just wants to be a movie but begrudgingly tacks on a generic third person shooter that nobody cared about. My one complaint is that it makes no sense for the wendigos to be around throughout the entire game but only start attacking when the plot says it’s time. It would make much more sense if they were trapped inside the mines/sanatorium, but were accidentally let out due to the whole prank thing when people started crawling around all over the place, breaking down walls and shit.Sam best girl btw.
>>736240075>maxresno thats sam
>>736241819He might have been too old for disney channel original shows and movies. The more troubling implication is he's too young.
>>736241453Does not make the game worse, just the ending twist . Also, it's something that is pretty obvious from like middle
>>736243785"Hey what if everything going on here was as boring and uninteresting as possible? Subverted your expectations pretty hard huh?"Do you not see the issue here?
>>736240075These aren't movie games, they're CYOA games. The choices you make have actual consequences, it's not a line from A to B like Uncharted or Last of Us.
Can anyone recommend me some games that don't require much brain power (No lore dumps, complex mechanics, high intensity gameplay etc.). I want to start playing vidya the moment I wake up. Stardew Valley and WoW classic used to be my go to but that's getting stale.
>>736242916Try roguelites. Synthetik and Crypt of the Necrodancer are my favorites.
>>736243059>low brain power>necrodancerabsolute retard
>>736242916Just play minecraft on easy or something

Happy Thursday guys
>>736234359They could have, I don't know... made an actual fucking sequel? The second game doesn't play anything like the first. Neither did the third (Which in itself also didn't play like the second). Fat Princess had terminal Digimon Syndrome and didn't know what the fuck it wanted to be, changing after every game.
>One of the very first indies alongside binding of isaac>3d sequel comes out>utterly flops what causes this?
>>736243507what's wrong with nicalis if they're partnering with them willingly?
>>736243589Edmund promised to not partner with them again. It's like someone promising to not support a bad sponsor and then getting sponsored by them again.

Just got around to beating this game on my backlog. Was a ridiculously long game (like 70ish hours to beat most of the stuff). It was fun, was able to beat like 95% of the puzzles without looking at hints, but some of the reflexes required for this made me feel my unc status. What did you guys think of this game and what do you think about the supposed sequel that is coming out this year?
>>736239572anon... are you the developer or something? I don't know if I have ever seen someone post about the "complex puzzle mechanics" of crosscode lol... it's not like the guy made shenzhen io or spacechem, it's literally just slide puzzles and "shoot the ball to open the circuit" puzzles. I'm a bit baffled that you are complimenting the game for its puzzle designs
>>736236969>all the dude ones are awful tho like wtf is the schnoz on the blonde guyHe's german
>>736203425It's not a sequel. It's a new game entirely, unless something was revealed in the demo or blogposts that I missed. That being said; I played Alabaster Dawn's demo to completion. The flow of combat feels even more natural than Crosscode's, and while the animation system was a little jarring at first, you acclimate to it pretty quickly. I have full trust in their ability to put out a good game. Story's kind of a nothingburger from the demo, but it's just a demo.
>>736238214Honestly I think it's a huge upgrade! The style feels more cohesive with the significantly better color palette alone. It all is much softer and more natural looking, so even if I'm not a huge fan of the style itself it doesn't feel so dissonant like it foes on CC. I'm holding off on playing AD until it actually releases but I hope the less significant NPCs have effort put into them as well.>>736238305Thanks anon. I'm hoping to release the edits sometime soon, just not sure where given how the internet is nowadays and I don't want to be bombarded and doxxed and etc for some stupid mods. Maybe I'll just leave it as a catbox here and call it a day.>>736238467That's kinda how I universally feel, I think the overworld and especially environment artists are REALLY GOOD at what they do, the portraits make it feel more amateur by comparison. AD does make it better, but either way I'm just glad it seems like they improved on all fronts art-wise.
>>736203498Not playing trans code
Thoughts?
>>736228313NTA but how can you not notice the amount of games released these days being incomplete? "Live service" basically means "We're still not finished working on our game, here pay for this beta so we can finish updating everything we planned for it, don't know how long that will be, and maybe charge you again for the rest of the shit owed to you as dlc."Years ago I've already developed the habit of not falling for the hype, waiting at least a year for the product to be fine tuned and completed with all the intended content at half price.

First time playing on hardest difficulty, just reached act 2. I play magic mainly but summons seem busted because they can just tank bosses aggro 100% while you damage/resummon. Though it was a bit weird that as soon as ACT2 started some random bandit was almost as tanky as Galahad
was it worth it?
>>736234230They already admitted their investment wasn't worth it.
>>736238714missing expectations isn't the same as catastrophically low sales. My guess is both broke even at worst, otherwise there'd be articles saying how the games sold at a loss.
>>736237590Hmm I wonder why you posted that article headline.
>>736234230They are amazing games so yeah
Rebirth was great but they put it in an awkward spot which is going to filter a lot of people. I'd be happy if the last part is as good but I'm not holding my breath.

>>736239008There's one, you don't want to be next to another nihilist, even if you agree with them to some extent. It also makes for a good excuse to be the shittiest person in the room, who sandbags at every opportunity, and will forget about said convictions as soon as they can if it personally benefits them, they don't even need to remain consistent, they can just do whatever the fuck they want and screw you over, couple that with someone who has no issues lying to get his way, it's too tempting to become a putrid version of yourself if you choose that path.

>>736242445Lesbian Battle by Dire. Can't wait until SHE gets put into the game. Kinda annoyed that the lesbian sex-cult nun is the next character in development instead of the yankee but people yend to prefer the overtly sexual rather than making a brutish woman succumb to pleasure I guess...

>The new tension passive give the same passive as FUJIWAMA and give you lot of tension when you lose a focus>You can go up to 20%>And it can go up to 100% at level 5>Basically have a free Fujiwara all the time at the start of the matchThat's pretty good holy shit, yo ucan max it out on a manager with only 3 of them and give a 2% to a player too
>>736241751You get 60 at max level, and 67 if you also have fuji on, so basically you get as much tension as a focus win without any passive

The "d" on the grave stands for "Dracula."
This console has some of the best games ever made on it and I say that as a very diehard SEGA fan, so many innovative games that pioneered entire genres, so many fan beloved IPs and characters spawned here, the list goes on. It may be just another cartridge based console but the games on it pushed the boundaries of what video games could be back then, it's amazing.

I remember when there was a time where I wouldn't dream of passing up the opportunity to play a Final Fantasy. I got to a safe place in my life again to actually buy stuff and I played FF XV and just sat there playing it for a few hours before turning it off and never picking it back up again. A lot of these rpgs just miss things. To be fair, it was probably a mistake making Elden Ring the first RPG I played coming back into it, with E33 following next year. It set this ridiculously high bar that I think these other developers aren't going to be able to live up to quite yet, not before AI is integrated with creativity the way it was with E33, as opposed to being a crutch for bad managers that can't make money.
>noooooooooo don't label them jrpgs I hate that label>okay so I will now make final fantasy game of thrones>you know, the time between mainline game releases is now too long, almost like game of thrones, that newcomers are few and far betweenwhat did yoship mean by this?
