I learned how to build a PC at college. But in the 20 years since then the standards changed and I had to ask for help from a local IT company. IDE > SATA > NVME. Having to change power supply standards for PCI > AGP > PCIE and so on. I'm stuck with a 4070 since 4090s require a huger case and more complicated and fire prone PSU. At least we've got usb drives for OS installation that is better than scratch prone huge discs.
