what if they went the opposite direction and stopped going open world but more so linear dungeon-like levels in an inter-connected world>something akin to ds1/ds2 world with various routesbring back a harder and more punishing weapon depreciation system, players actually need to change up weapons although rarely (especially early on) until they find the smith (similiar to ds2)>dungeon loot after bosses and just exploring within them with actual useful weapons that you want to try outplayer won't actually dislike the fact that weapons can lose their sharpness/break but actually look forwards to new weapons that they will actually potentially need to swap to >notable dungeons that aren't too far off from the meant path have actual power ups for attack power/hp akin to sekiro>talismans slots are how you actually change up your character, talismans can give proficiency with weapon types instead of being lackluster %dmg increases
