played the demo and I was so utterly dissapointed, i just quitted and uninstalled,imagine adding parries and stealth to re4 holy fucking shit, crazy how they went from lets make re horror again to lets make re cowadooty again in less than 5 years. But the worst is that they brought back shit from RE5 possibly without realizing, turret cannon sequences, Boat puzzle puzzles waste of time, mega boring tentacle blob, even salazar is now a blob of uroboro shit instead of a bad ass fuxking wall of snake plant monstruosity and wo much more

Some will say start with nuRE (meaning 7, REmake 2, REmake 3, Village, REmake 4)Just start with whichever one looks good to you. Almost all of them are completely stand alone. My only advice is avoid 0, Revelations 2, and Village as first time entries, because those are semi sequels/prequels. 0 is a prequel, and should only be played after the originals/REmake 1. Revelations 2 is a semi-sequel to 5, and should be played after. Village is a direct sequel to 7 and should be played after. Every other RE is completely fair game. That's only if you really want to go in and get the most of the story. If that doesn't matter to you, play in any order. Since you mentioned Steam, I'm assuming you'll be playing on PC. Resident Evil 2 (2019) is honestly probably the best "starting" place for anyone completely new to the series because it's easily the most accessible while still maintaining the general feel of the classic games. The fanbase is honestly kind of autistic, more so than other game fanbases, so just approach the series however you feel.

If you like more action oriented gameplay, play the games in-between 4 and 7. All that really matter is most appealing to you. I prefer the older ones, but there are people that prefer the newer ones. If you can get them cheap or pirate them, you should be fine. Have fun, anon.
