yoho. hoping the current game I'm playing makes it in. a differemt recent demo I played is GOTY for me, and did make it in...until the end where I realized it's structure results in a fundementally fragmented experience, so even though it's gameplay is peak, I almost want to dock points for that, and stave off putting it on my list till the full game comes out. despite the demo giving me a solid 15 hours of playtime.

It's a pretty standard mystery game (VN elements, Point and Click elements, free roam puzzle sections) so if you like those it's worth a try just off that.Where I think the game excels and actually stands out is in it's worldbuilding. There's no game I've played that gives quite the same feeling AI1 does. I'm not even sure how I could describe it. It feels like a story set in a small town despite the world it's taking place in being way bigger. You get really sucked into how closely knit everything feels. I think it's worth a pirate at the very least

You have to see so many bad endings with every character and it just pads out the game. It would've been the same if they just made all options available from the start.
