I'm struggling to find proper lighting. any gmod heads want to chime in.
>>
What mods are you using to do lighting
>>
Upon closer inspection my eyes might be deceiving me but are you using the glare from a lamp as the moon?

i've lost count and track of how many damn mods i've installed to make this

it's not glare. it's a volumetric entity. its a big cube that reacts to light that is cast on it. there is a lamp shining through it though. There are no after effects in my images/videos.

Problem is that alucard needs to be silhouette. you can't see his goofy grin. But the church i built must be lit up. but its night so it has to look natural. you have to barely see, yet still see enough to make out that there is a chuch, crows (which need to not blend in with the darkness of the sky) and alucard.
Something that seems so simple is turning out to be a NASA level task. though the solution might be to use this skybox editor i'm looking at so that there is more natural lighting. Hell when i go outside at night i can see more than i do in this dark map. Also the trees are way too lit up giving away that there is just a big lamp shining on everything.
