I know you guys like to meme but 144hz is genuinely too much.
In practice It's just blur and I'm not talking about ghosting. There is no world in which you will be able to process 144 fps in your brain. 144hz only helps with making slow moving things look smoother.
60hz is unironically perfect and I'd rather max all the graphics before looking for more fps increase.

I bought a 4K monitor not for gaming, but because many of the rule 34 images that I like have resolutions exceeding a 1080p display.

60fps is unplayable for me in most games. It's way too choppy. I need at least 90, but I aim for 165.
