ive yet to see any of these falcom threads not full of shitposting schizos, but do any of you guys think daybreak is worth buying as a YS-head who has only played TitS? i tried the demo and really enjoyed it. i probably wont get any of the lore stuff referencing past titles, but im okay with that.
>>681465329To be fair, the action combat in Kuro kinda sucks. It's literally just a means to an end, with that end being breaking the enemy before starting the actual battle. It has no depth or variety at all. It's not even on the level of Ys. Still hard to say how that'll pan out for Metaphor, but I wanna say from what we've seen that it looks a little more engaging, even if turn based combat still ends up being the primary mode through which you progress through fights.

So if that's a deal breaker, then let it be, because the other reason to not bother getting into it is that if you did end up liking it, you may feel compelled to continue playing what comes after Daybreak, and what comes after Daybreak will feature characters from games you've never played and will likely explain very little to you about who they are, why they're here, or what they're doing.
