Are licensed anime games coming back in style?
>>681463394I hope not, they were a product of their time and should stay as such. Last thing I need is to wake up to niggers claiming that Tsukasa is a ftm tranny because of her flat chest or something fucking stupid like that.
>>681463564I don't think there's a single example of an anime game being more popular than its source material for such scenario to happen.
>>681464413I'd sure fucking hope not.
>>681464623My point is that anime games would be very unlikely to produce an increase of video game headcanons because they are only produced for already successful properties.
>>681463394If it is, I would want Dungeon Meshi (non-VN) game.
>>681466231I would kill for a Haruhi point-and-click graphical adventure.
>>681467018there's a ds game that's kind of point and click, but definitely not a point and click adventure game.at most you point and click kyon around an arena trying to scrub traps.
>>681463394DoubtI do wish there were more good licensed anime games though. Plenty of unique settings and potential mechanics to use and abuse
>>681463394Game development has gotten too expensive so licensed games as a whole have gotten rarer. Mobile shit is cheaper and easier to turn a profit on. Anime at least still get some games, but it's mostly mediocre arena fighters from Bamco (who hog 95% of the anime game rights) and not the larger and more varied amount we used to get. I'm mostly miffed that we don't really get Yu-Gi-Oh games anymore since Konami makes more easy money off Master Duel and Duel Links.
