When did you grow out of Japanese games realize that Western AAA games are far superior?

Anything referred to as AAA post-2012 is exclusively a marketing term, nothing more. It's a natural consequence of consoles market growth simply not being infinite and thus not covering development costs with the market basically shitting itself to death to attempt to reach the mythical "wider audience".There is a later cutoff point after which AA also stops being released and it coincides with supposedly talented developers no longer being stupid enough to trust massive publishers unless they are running their own scam and vice versa.
