Fucking never, and I genuinely don't understand why. It's not like a new Ice Climber game wouldn't make some money. They've got enough notoriety from Smash to get some interest. Could just have it be cartoony Uncharted. But for some reason, Nintendo just won't do it. Can't even call this IP dead, cause it was never alive in the first place.

The thought of the Ice Climbers actually really getting a new game in real life makes me laugh for some reason. The idea is so far off the charts, I feel like we would get two new F Zero games and a Custom Robo reboot before the fucking Ice Climbers would get a real game lmao

a 99 game just shows nintendo gives the bare minimum of a shit about the IP to make a low effort limited-time cashgrab instead of a proper game
i'd rather they make a game involving a storyline and climber pair mechanics akin to the stuff M&L is doing
