What are some video game segments or scenes that you still randomly remember to this day, perhaps even years after playing the game, due to the sheer impact of the music? One that comes to my mind is the final gauntlet in Frostpunk where the storm is ramping up and the "city must survive" track is playing. It's an intense sequence in itself but it's amplified by the music.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpaFE6_nDJw
The original version had more impact and a much longer gameplay segment, but I'm posting new version/OST for accessibility/relevance.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnbZfxrhDa0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHT-1Xk1I98This part of DA Inquisition was so kino that the rest of the game became disappointing. If the entire game had been lead-ups to more moments like this, or at least a second wind of this, it would've been GOAT, but instead they focused on Open World slop and a tired second/third act, and totally weak ending.
All of Katana zero was pretty memorable for me, but what stuck with me the most was the rooftop scene.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jid30tiCh1AWhat an amazing game.
Taking down the Arsenal Bird in AC7, especially THAT moment.https://youtu.be/-kVdCaczLE8
>>681523890Is Inquisition THAT bad? I was thinking of getting it since the GOTY edition is literally like 2 bucks and just modding out the war table wait times and disabling the looting animation.

>>681524778It's pretty awesome, now that you have the Trespasser DLC which makes the ending go from pretty safe and weak to having an extra chapter where things pick up and become very dramatic and definitive, and gets you hyped for the new game coming this year.I sometimes think DAI sucks, and I won't defend it against anyone that tells you it does. But I believe you're missing out if you skip it.
When Maya feels sad and alone in Ace Attorney it gets very depressing.https://youtu.be/eHS2s1GQ-MM?si=RuWbtzEz9HMh2yXf&t=1649
>The very first theme you heard when booting the game up plays in the area before the final battleDunno, it was like everything going full circle. Had a real finality to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjN1Dj14bII&t=1s
Xenoblade Chronicles 1, very early on in the story (about 10 hours in) when you finally clear the second dungeon. You exit the Ether Mines after beating the boss and get ambushed by the major antagonist who killed your girlfriend in the beginning of the game and also the scene where two new party members (characters you meet at the beginning of the game) show up and save you. This boss theme literally only plays ONCE in the game, during this fight, and it doesn't even loop; Once it's finished the normal boss theme plays. For a short 5 minute boss fight not even that far into the game. No other major boss in the game (except the final boss) has unique fight music.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSCLbShOrA0
>>681525282I think I'll give it a shot, at the current sale price why not.
This Sunken valley segment from Sekiro is easily the highlight for me.>snowy cliffs, strong chilly wind>giant buddha heads with those calm expressions>snipers shooting at you from all angles from the fortress>gotta leg it across the fucking bridge TOWARDS themall the while THIS music plays https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoXheQnqNEgfits so well bros goddamn
Parachuting into the penthouse and making it into your HQ while Kanye West plays was pure kino.
/v/ doesn't want to talk about video games?
