What are the best games where I can play as a road warrior in an insane hi-octane post-apocalyptic wasteland? I already played the Mad Max game from 2015, it was okay.

What are some others? Indie games acceptable

Rage 2 has a significant vehicle overworld and sections. Interstate 76 is still ~~fun~~ if you are fine with an older game. New Blood is working on a car combat game. Fumes is a single player car combat game that's closer to twisted metal than it is to anything like Mad Max. Warhammer Speed Freeks is coming out and it'll be a multiplayer exclusive car combat arena game with a convoy attack mode.

I still play the Mad Max game sometimes. It's unironically the best sort of game in this vein. I challenge myself by not using the Opus to attack convoys.

I'd be interested in Kenshi if it wasn't an aimless sandbox. I don't want to "make my own narrative" or "make my own goals." That's what game developers are for.
