Do you guys have a signature name for your ACs and player characters?
I always call my player character Jonny since it’s the nickname my friends gave me and I call my AC “Hell Knight”, I wanted “Hell’s Missionary” but that name is too long and the game didn’t let me write it
I always give it a dark red and almost black brown colour scheme, main is the red and sub is the brown, I tried to make a logo but artistically I’m a disaster, but I’m trying to make a bust of the Hell Missionary costume the perfect Shojin in Kinikumam use since it looks awesome

I don't have a set name, unless I'm doing a replay or something and I can't figure out a cool name. Then I'll just name my character Char and AC as Chars Custom with full red color scheme.

The concept of AC is what they wanted to make from the very start. I believe Kawamori is the one that gave them the idea for the mechs to be modular and have parts you can mix and match. Before any art, an AC was just some featureless boxes.

Many indie devs tend to have this 'go big or go home' mentality. They go straight up into stuff they want to make right away. It's fine in an idealistic sense but most of the time it's a misfire because the devs tend to overshoot their target due to the scope they had in mind and the developer skills mismatch so there are tendencies of them fumbling in that regard.

It's not fair to say they just used kf as a tool. They definitely put their all into it and it was well received. They likely had limitations on what they could do and KF was a project that they could deliver on first.
Game development overlaps and work on one thing ramps up as another winds down.

I will never understand indieshit devs that try to develop their "dream game" as their very first project, only for delivering a POS because they lack the necessary experience for making an actually good game
If I ever were to make a game (which won't ever happen but I digress) I would probably remake a random PS1 game solely for acquiring experience. that is also the reason remakes are so prevalent nowadays, by remaking a game ja basically a coloring book for inexperienced deva, with the additional side effect that if the remake is good the company may also make money off from it

Is it me or does AC6 have more cutscenes than Elden Ring? Take Shadow of the Erdtree where you enter the DLC land with no cutscenes like it's no biggie, same with most of the major bosses, then you have AC6 with cutscenes around with almost every major story beat.

I played AC way after DeS, so when I had to pick a name for my first AC, "Blind" was the first thing that came to mind and it just stuck. My "main" AC is always called that and has a military green color
