Been playing a lot of my childhood games like Battefront 2, Left 4 Dead, Age of mythology. Also a hell of a Lot Dawn of war soul storm. Multiplayer keeps crashing though.

First new game i played on Was space marine 1 cause 2 is looking good. Its amazing on deck.

Anybody use one of these bad boys as a dock alternative? Considering getting one because I don't have much space next to my television and having an extra SD card slot wouldn't hurt

I bought these two. the hub to stream(?) to my tv, and the extension cable so i could use my 'eck as a gamepad. worked really well on my old tv, but for some reason on the new tv the screen just looks like a psychedelic mess when i try to stream to it.

im fighting the urge to buy a steam deck. i think the thing is cool as shit, as a kid i always wished i could have a handheld pc, psp absolutely blew my mind back in the day.
but i know i would use it for maybe a week (setting it up for 5 days, playing on it for 2) and then it would just collect dust forever. i have a pc for high tier shit and a ps4 for slop with my gf on the couch and i dont travel for a living, i cant realistically come up with a relevant use case for it in my life.
but still i fucking salivate after it.

It gets some slowdown in some areas. It will hold 30 FPS fine, but I'm struggling with 60 in some locations. It's not necessarily where you'd think, either. Mostly it runs fine. I'm under the impression that I might be able to get more out of it with a bit more tweaking but haven't poked around much.

Good point about the dock though, Id be having to lay the deck on its back if I bought this so maybe I'd be better off getting something traditional.

Here's my janky fucked up Steam Deck set up. I'm using a chinese USB-C dock and a wireless phone charging stand while my replacement CPU comes in from the mail.
