Before the ending, why didn't Simon and Catherine redo the ARK upload until they both won the coin flip?
>>683718827because you touch yourself at night
>>683718827
>>683719476>>683720684Not an argument.
>>683718827>coin flipThe fuck you on about? Simon was a moron who didn't understand that he'd "copy" himself onto the Ark, but he himself would be left behind. There's no coin flip. Simon is an idiot.
>>683720993Then how did simon manage to "continue" into the other body when Catherine copied him before? He must have gotten lucky that time, so just keep trying.
>>683720826There can't be any argument when you are too retarded right from the start.
>>683718827my big fat soma narrative opinion is that simon shouldn't have been such a fucking numbskull by the end and you could have had a nice minute where him and catherine reflect on their journey as all the power drains out of them and they have a bittersweet passing knowing that they've at least done something, even if it is all a dumb little desperate death rattle of a dying species. And then if you want your horror stinger, you can cut to the arc and its actually torture a la locked-in syndrome. Being a fully alive human conscious whose means of interacting with the 'world' around them are limited to vr-chat level blocky grabbing and dropping, or where every sensation feels distinctly 'fake.' Theres a whole fucked up horror nightmare you could express in the final scene inside arc with only a few subtle hints. instead its 'wow, we made it? hello, paradise! yee haw!'
>>683721187Because the same thing was happening - he was copied. The difference is you as the player continued in the body he got copied to. It tells you this when he hears his voice coming from his old body the second (?) time you get transferred, and gets pissed at the chick in the handheld radio.
>>683718827>am I the man going into the box, or the one coming out of it?
>>683721572There's a lot of stuff that could have been done. The game takes an absolutely basic entry level exploration of a sci-fi concept that has been rigorously explored 40 years ago.
>>683721572It's an experimental scan done to someone who already has brain damage. It's a miracle he can even put sentences together.
>>683722373What do you think explored the concept better?
