Such a good game with pretty good graphics for the time. But nooooooOo. Banjofags have deemed it a bad Banjo game so therefore it is a bad game in it's entirety!

Its a shame bros.

it's alright until you unlock enough parts to make a "do-all" vehicle, after which the game becomes painfully repetitive and mind numbing.
good music.

Shit, it's so good. I remember playing the demo for 20+ hours and once I got Coolboarders 2 and 3, i enjoyed it for years.

I had the PC release of this one.
It was my favorite at the time, together with the free-roam official spider man game.

Need to revisit this someday. I never knew what I was doing.
Pretty sure this was actually some kind of high level virtual life autism sim, that was disguised as a game for kids.

As a third worlder, this was the only way I played Mortal Kombat back then. They also made a Street Fighter bootleg for the chinese NES clones of that time.

Like that? There's a Creatures 3, which I never played much of.

As for kid's PC games, I used to play a lot of Little Big Adventure, and Lego Island. I had something called 3D Logic Quest, which I guess was some kind of shovelware dungeon builder. I had a point and click adventure, based on a kid's book called The Haunted House. I had a demo for something called Cyberspeed, which I guess is ostensibly a racing game, but really more of an on-rails shooter.

I really liked that Bug's Life game as a kid, but playing it again as an adult was kind of a slog. The levels are massive and have a lot to do and collect on paper, but a lot of it is backtracking and padding. As a kid I didn't mind since game being longer was always a bonus, but now the levels really outstay their welcome.
Still, it definitely is among the top tier of licensed games.

A fun game where you try to grab up more money than you already have as Scrooge while Glomgold tries to do the same. You could select levels with different gameplay from all across the world, ranging from reaction minigames to platforming challenges and puzzles. You are racing against Glomgold, and that asshole might complete some levels and take the treasure, locking it out of the run.
The mummy levels were the only thing in vidya that has ever given me nightmares, I always avoided playing them.

The best Gauntlet game, yet for some reason the devs were too retarded to realize when they had a winning formula. Cheesy voice acting, but very memorable and charming as a result. Nothing can be sincere anymore, a new one would just be shitty Marvel quips.

The reboot like 10 years ago was pretty good, but way more like Gauntlet IV than DL/Legends.
>>
>>683728869
Found out recently some of the different versions of this are kind of different games.
>>
>>683728987
I've played both Legends and DL in the arcade, N64, GC, and PS2.

The GC version is by far the most feature rich, but the inventory system breaks the intended balancing of most power-ups being timed/limited.

Broken how? I've beaten the game 100% numerous times on hard mode (Captain) with every character, including the unlockable ones. Some characters are harder to use than others, so I can probably see why someone would think that.
>>
>>683722553
A bug's life and toy's story 2 on ps1 were Disney classics and it's funny how they're both games where you're playing as a minuscule protagonist in normal locations but from their point of view.
And despite them being so small you have quite a large and long distance rendering in those games even for playstation 1 standards. No fog bullshit. in the living room which seems gigantic in toy's story you can see everything to the other side of the room, you can go in the park and see the towering tree from the ground and all that.
>>
This game was great at the time, and while it isn't as fun to play anymore the concept is still great and I'd love another game made with the exact same concept. Spinning around wrecking shit as Taz is fun and it should lean more into that and lose the transformations which tend to be clunky and massively slow things down. The music kicking into a rock remix when you start spinning is still awesome even now. My favorite spin theme:

It's up there as one of the best 3D platformers of all time. I have yet to see anyone do puzzle-platforming as well as this game did.
But I insist on playing the N64 version instead, because it's better than mpeg1 movie clips and
