I don't understand the entire idea behind the Blizzard or any other union being a big thing.
Can anyone explain why new hires would join the company, when it's been known for years the pay's shit, the work is massive, and the company jumps into various scandals annually? Or even better - why would the devs that are complaining about the company all the time bother with the union shit and not jump ship to something that actually respects (lmao) them as a worker, considering they have work more industry work experience and therefore should have easier time finding a better place?
I know the job market is shit right now but what motivates people to sink that low?
