Just release the Steam port pre-packaged with the Moguri Mod on consoles. That's all the "remastering" that FFIX needs. Maybe balance out the skills better. The game's other flaws- namely the final dungeon being obviously rushed and come characters not getting enough screen time- is beyond the scope of a remaster anyway and I don't want a full remake like VII got.
