Unironically true, Fable failed to deliver on 1000 things but its atmosphere and music were top notch.I've (mostly) built an entire new TTRPG system based on Fable. I just started running the campaign on tuesday, it went pretty well. The first session had the players playing as 10 year old guild foundlings, session 2 they will be proper guild apprentices and do a quest with a hero chaperone, then session 3 they will be graduated heroes and I'll set them loose on the world.I've got a bunch of art for it commissioned already.

Elfman has been mocked throughout the years as "Discount John Williams," and while he's done some legendary work on iconic movies, if you listen to some of his songs back-to-back you'll quickly pick up on the musical themes he loves to (re)use. Except the laughable idea of growing trees.
