i want a game that immerses me deeply into an arc of starting as a student and growing stronger gradually as a mage.
winterhold in skyrim is the only thing that slightly scratched that itch but its obviously a very low bar.

It's a pixel-graphic rouge-lite I know but the spell combos in Wizard of Legend we're super fun and made me wish more spellcasting in games were like it.
