Those started being phased out after 2006 and stopped being made after 2011 once it became clear that there was no way to appeal to a broader audience or magic several orders of magnitude more money out of the entire audience. The audience sizes necessary to fund development of even 7th gen standards for AAA scope just do not exist because they were predicated on continued exponential growth.
